  • Great view and plenty of space...

"When we arrived at the home and opened the door we were wowed by the view. Being on a bluff makes such a difference. The rental property pictures did not show a photo to the left side, which was more industrial looking, with development in progress. We took most of our pictures facing the opposite direction, in such a way that you could not see the properties to the right of the patio. Two of the three patios of this second floor home, were spacious, especially the one off both the master bedroom/ dining area. We had most of our meals there. Having so many windows around the home made it feel so much larger. The fireplace was ok, but you have to know how to deal with the damper. The home had plenty of living area space. The kitchen had a blender, which was used frequently! There were no other renters on either side of us during our stay, which made for great privacy! Cathy was excellent. She went above and beyond, particularly with our transportation needs, to assist us. She answered any questions we had in a timely manner. She scheduled the birthday cake for the time we requested, and had the home decorated with roses, before we arrived. Truly a wonderful addition. (We would highly recommend this!) The sofa was super comfy and large. The directions to the home were clear and easy to understand, as well as the information provided for activities in the general area. (We would, however, advise looking into reviews of the restaurants in Puerto Nuevo, known for it's lobster). We recommend you stock up on groceries before you arrive, as it is a bit of a drive to locate a store from the rental. The reason we gave the home a 4 star rating , rather than five was due to several things. When we tried the garbage disposal, black gunk spurted out. (We did inform Cathy of this). We did not use it the rest of our stay, covering it with paper towels, due to the smell. The oven was very slow and when we did use it, baked unevenly. The kitchen could really use some updating. Cupboards, stove, counters... There were plenty of utensils and dishes to use. The floors were not as clean as they should have been. All of our feet were black not long after we walked around the home. The clothes washes was dirty, with caked on soap...needs a good cleaning. The beds were decorated nicely. The master was quite soft and we experienced back aches. We spent one night on the sofa. All in all this was a very nice place! Thank you for sharing your home!"

  • Simply Beautiful

"The photos here are just the begining to a truly amazing property! Not once did we ever feel threatened or scared as the entire area of San Antonion Del Mar & Rosarito feel very relaxing & safe. The house itself sits right ontop the ocean where we surfed, watched families of dolphins & awed over the gorgeous sunsets every day. With this house being only 25 minutes past the border, we will definitely be back as it sits in a truly beautiful yet totally different world."

Staff and owner were very nice, condo was beautiful and supplied cooking and eating utensils. Very close to shops and restaurants. We rented quads at only $25 per hour :). A must try is the Piña coladas every so often guy will drive by the beach sells them really delicious."

Baja California Norte Travel Tips

Traveling to Baja California Norte Vacation Rentals

In the northwest corner of the Mexico is Baja California. It is bounded mainly by the states of Arizona and California, the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean on the west, and the Gulf of California on the east. The capital city is Mexicali and other major cities include Tijuana, Ensenada, San Felipe, Playas de Rosario and Tecate. The region comprises beaches, forests and deserts. One of the many reasons that Baja California Norte travel is so popular is the wonderful weather. The climate here is dry and hot, with a slightly more rainy winter.

The major airport here is Gen. Abelardo L Rodriguez in the hedonistic city of Tijuana. Traveling by car, visitors will also cross the border at Tijuana which is the largest border crossing in the world. Visitors coming into Mexico for more than seven days are required to have a tourist card and valid identification. Visitors will find the entire state, from its desert landscape to the stunning ocean, is accessible from Highway 1.

Secluded Beaches and Historic Sites Make a Perfect Location

Visitors to Baja California Norte resorts will find a starkly beautiful region, with beautiful, remote beaches, stunning mountains, and valleys laden with vineyards, incredible fields of boulders, historic missions and breathtaking desert landscapes. On the coastlines, visitors will enjoy discovering the wealth of remote sandy beaches where they can swim, dive, surf, fish, and perhaps take a trip to see the friendly grey whales. This is a region for adventurers and explorers, with little nightlife other than in the major towns of Ensenada and Tijuana.

A Variety of Wonderful Areas to Choose From

Visitors choosing Baja California Norte vacation rentals near San Felipe will enjoy this typical fishing village location with its broad beach that is ideal for swimming. The area is scattered with taco stands, bars and restaurants. Here visitors can buy local shrimp, straight from the sea, to take back to their vacation home for some great BBQ. It is also an ideal spot for sports fishing. A trip or home close to the Bahia de Los Angeles will be great for outdoor activities such as fishing, diving and boating. This warm, quiet bay is a tranquil spot to enjoy.

Baja California Norte resorts near Ensenada are perfect for those who want to be close to the town for shopping and nightlife, with sandy beaches and gentle waves to enjoy. This area is popular for surfing.

The inland areas of this region are becoming more tourist-friendly and the area is gloriously remote and undeveloped. Excursions to inland areas will reward visitors with beautiful scenery scattered with Spanish missions and stops to see the incredible boulder fields.

Baja California Norte travel for younger people looking for a party atmosphere should include Rosarito which especially popular during spring break.

Wine-lovers and those who enjoy stunning scenery may find the Valle De Guadalupe a great location. While not well known, Mexican wine is developing an excellent reputation and a tour of the wineries will be an enjoyable experience.
