  • Everything you need

"Thank you for sharing your wonderful home in Cabo. We loved it. It was a real nice treat to find cold beer in the fridge upon our arrival. I made sure to restock for the next person. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, just pick up your groceries. We brought our friends in to visit from their timeshare and they were impressed. They wished they could have stayed with us as there is plenty of room for two couples or a family of 5. Cabo is now our favourite place in Mexico out of the numerous places we have been, a great place to do the tourist thing and wander downtown or go to one of the many restaurants or bars. We always felt safe and if we didn't want to walk back after a late night, there are plenty of taxis."

  • Fantastic with older kids

"The combo of spring break in Cabo and staying at this top floor villa was perfect. We have been to other areas of Mexico with our children (14, 13 and 10), and by far, Cabo felt the safest and most welcoming. Two large bedrooms were fantastic for kids. Our youngest opted to sleep on the pull out couch in the living room. The balcony is the most amazing part of this unit. The view is gorgeous (it is the main photo for this listing). There are two lounge chairs that were the most coveted seats for our family. The breezes that you get up there, particularly later in the afternoon and evening, were wonderful. Every time that we were in the condo (breakfast, showering, happy hour), we were all out on the balcony that extends from the master, to the living, to the guest room. It runs the full length of the condo. We spent some time on the balcony watching our kids in the pool. You couldn't do that with younger ones, but ours were fine. We had friends stay the Palmar and thought the properties were very, very different. The Palmar had tons of little kids, looked super crowded around the pool, and everything was super wet. Estancia's pool area is beautifully landscaped, and chairs are set up in different areas, which ends up offering much more privacy and a luxury feel to the property. Our friends from Palmar came into our property several times, but NOTE they cannot bring in their towels from the other properties. That is a huge red flag and the pool manager will tell them they need to go up and register as a guest on your account. It took about 5 minutes to do this, no big deal. We bought breakfast food from Walmart (simple, easy trip), usually ate lunch at the pool and then went into Cabo for dinners. The beach is considered "non-swimming" but we swam. My impression is that basically from Estancia to the east, the waves/undertow were too dangerous to swim. However, from Estancia to the west (to Lands End), it was safer and super fun. For the first 3 days we were there, the waves were huge (some about 10'). My kids and I went out into the swimming area with other avid beachgoers and had a ball. You just had to pay attention to where you were in relation to where the waves were breaking. The beach is steep, and within a handful of steps into the water, you are over your head. For our entire week stay, the "red" do-not-swim flag was posted at Estancia. However, no-one stops you."

  • Absolutely Gorgeous!!

"Just got back from the most amazing trips to Cabo we've ever had!! Staying at this condo at the Estencia was the perfect location and the perfect piece of property. The views from the balcony we amazing, especially the sunrises. We would also sit in the hot tub at night and look at the stars. The condo is very spacious and it was nice to have so many bathrooms considering we had 5 college age girls staying with us too. We never had to fight over shower or mirror space. The pictures of the condo are exactly as it was. You can't go wrong with renting this condo!!!"

  • An Amazing Family Vacation

"The previous reviewers have not exaggerated! Cocina Pacifica is simply the best! We are a family of fourteen from Georgia and Colorado who were happy to find out that all six girls ranging from 3-13 had the same Spring Holidays this year. Looking on VRBO, we found this home near Cabo large enough for all of us. We stayed nine nights and opted for the complete package. Jim is a superb chef---we had fabulous dinners every night outside overlooking the Pacific at sunset! We even had some exciting whale sightings after the whale season! This is perfect for all ages. We celebrated a 7th birthday---we ask Jim if he could get a cake---he not only did that, but brought a sombrero and pinata as well for a true Mexican birthday celebration! We had a day trip to Todos Santos and a day trip to Cabo San Lucas, but were extremely happy to spend most of our time at Cocina Pacifica. I cannot say enough about what a perfect vacation spot this is! Thank you, Jim!"
