"We spent last week at Villa Los Geckos. My husband and 23 and 25 year-old daughters plus two of their friends all loved the house. It has beautiful tiled bathrooms and bedding, and is immaculate. There are so many decks and levels we could all be spread out and not know where everyone else was! The pool is small but perfect to cool off and has a fabulous view of the Sea of Cortez and the town. They are building a new large pool, so we will look forward to going back for that. We would definitely stay here again. It's close enough to town to walk or you can catch a cab right at the entrance of Pedregal. The house is situated about halfway up the hill from the entrance..it is a bit of a workout so we sometimes would cab it back up from town. Cabs were $12 from the beach area. We enjoyed hiking around the neighborhood every morning and looking at all the amazing houses and views. NO concern about safety. We also discovered The Spa at Pedregal which is up at the top of the street. They offer a daily or weekly pass for very reasonable prices and again it was immaculate and beautiful. There is a small workout room with the essential equipment that has wide open windows over looking the Pacific, a nice lap pool, chairs for suntanning and offers massages and other services for 1/2 the price of the fancy Resort at Pedregal at the bottom of the hill. (This is a beautiful resort and worth going at least for a drink if not a meal. Very pricey but you're paying for the fabulous service and views on addition to the food, which was divine.) The owner of the house, Joel, was awesome and always very quick to respond to our questions. We also used Cabo Chef Services at Joel's recommendation for transportation to and from the airport (there may be somewhat less expensive services but we liked having the security of knowing they would show up) and they came and prepared a delicious grilled dinner one evening (lots of leftovers)...also a welcome service which was great. Chefs Renaldo and Julia were there when we arrived and had fresh ceviche, guacamole and salsas ready for us and told us a bit about the house and the area. They were very professional and always on time. We stopped at Costco on the way in for breakfast and lunch items and mostly just ate dinners out. Chef Reynaldo will also make grocery runs for you if you need anything. All in all, everything was lovely and we would highly recommend Villa Los Geckos!"

"There aren't enough wonderful words to describe the perfect location of Marina Sol condos. Walk to: beach, marina, movies, downtown. The neighborhood restaurant selection varies from 5 star dining/reservations required to delicious and bargain street fare. The complex is clean, seems to be well run and the pool is terrific!
Condo is located in this great complex. It is street side (versus pool/garden) view. The street it is on is Busy and Loud at all times of day. Be prepared (ear plugs, keep windows shut, AC running, etc.). Condo is stocked w dated basics - kitchen eqpt, towels - you can't hurt anything, others before you have handled that task brilliantly. There are no supplies except coffee filters, however. You won't find: dish soap, windex (dining table is glass), paper towels, toilet tissue and soap/shampoo, basic spices, ziploc bags, etc. This is NOT a hotel (staff's words not mine). If staying longer than a week, apparently there is cleaning/maid service available if arrangement made in advance. We didn't do that, wish we had known. $30 to have the sheets changed, towels washed and sand swept out of the condo cleaned mid trip was well within our travel budget.
The big negative about this particular condo was the beds. They were extremely uncomfortable. The bed in the master was rock hard and our teenage boys complained about theirs.
We would rent a condo at Marina Sol again in a heartbeat. This particular condo we'd consider if the mattresses are replaced on all of the beds."

"Not all condos are created equal! I have rented 4 other condos in Marina Sol and this is by far the best. I highly recommend this unit for families as well as a quiet get away. This condo is designed super cool and the large tables are great for hanging out. We will definitely be back!"
