Great week overlooking Cabo
"From the moment my family and I walked in to the "Cabo Penthouse" we were in awe. First of all the view, once we drew open the curtains, to the layout of the condo. The music on the stereo was playing and the air conditioners were running to keep the place nice and cool. It was very inviting. From then and all through the rest of the week we felt very much settled in. We had rented a van for the week which got all 5 of us around easily (although you pay an arm and a leg for insurance and taxes, I feel it was very much worth it). We did everything we could possibly do (except deep sea fishing). Wave runners, scuba diving, parasailing, ATVs and even a dinner cruise on the ECO CAT (apparently the largest catamaran in the Marina). A must, I believe, if you are to go out to a nice dinner with the family is The Office. A great restaurant on Mandano Beach where we ate at tables right in the sand and they had wonderful entertainment on this particular night (I think Thursday nights only, but not sure). Other than that the meals were spent out in local taquerias, off the main thoroughfares, and a couple of nights in the condo, with one of them bbqing on the deck near the infinity pool. If you are looking for a great place, which is safe and secure and won't cost you an arm and a leg to stay, I highly recommend the Cabo Penthouse in Pedregal. Lyle (the owner) was very helpful in every aspect as to getting you comfortably setup and answered any of the many questions we had prior to our arrival. We definitely will be revisiting very soon hopefully."

"I stayed at Villa Esperanza last weekend with a group of 13 friends for a girl's weekend. The home is in excellent condition, beautiful, spacious and well maintained. The staff- Leti and Julio the cooks and Irene the maid- pampered us every day and we wanted to bring them all home with us. They were ready to do any grocery runs and bring us anything we needed. The views can't be beat and we spent lots of time outside on the back patio. The house's modest street entrance doesn't really hint at the wonder that lies behind the doors. Most of the bedrooms have awesome views, and large groups won't feel cramped at all.
The only reasons I'm not giving 5 stars: its tricky to get to! All the streets in Pedregal are twisty and turning and for some slightly less than sober girls, it was hard to direct taxi drivers. Also, there are brick domes at the top of many rooms, including the living room, which means a lot of noise for people sleeping nearby if others stay up late or wake up early. Also, the hot tub and pool filter were not functioning correctly during our stay, and although the technicians came and fixed it as soon as they could, it still meant we were without a hot tub for a portion of our stay. However, the house manager and owner were very responsive to my messages and did their best to get it repaired right away."

"We stayed in this wonderful condo in March 2015. The views of the city and Sea of Cortez are terrific and condo offers ample space. The beds are comfortable, couch was newer and great, and the kitchen table is in good shape. The best part of condo was the balcony with the views. The granite in the kitchen is nice. There is an opportunity to improve the kitchen with some updates on coffee maker and some nonglass dishware. The tile floors throughout were nice and in great shape.
We liked the location because of the views it offers being up in the hills and access to the incredible neighborhood. The huge homes are great to drive around to see and you can play tennis($15/hour) and best of all you get access to the private neighborhood Pedegral beach. You can also get to the Marina very easily from the condo location.
The pool and the grounds for the condo are well kept. The garage for our car was adequate as well. You are in the hills so you will do a bit of walking up and down stairs, but there is an elevator.
Donna was great to work with on logistics and recommendations.. We had one issue with a power outage in the condo and Donna was very considerate.
We rented a car which was fine for most part but Cabo is confusing to drive in with poor signs and GPS doesn't work well. But if you want to have the freedom to go to the beaches and Walmart etc then renting car is the way to go. But it is expensive in Mexico with the insurance and taxes.
I would recommend going to the marina to negotiate a whale watching and Lovers beach visit and you can rent jet skis from Marina. There is no need to reserve these online as you will pay five times more.
You can drive to the beaches to snorkel at Santa Maria and Chilleno but the signs from the road for Chilleno are not up so try your GPS. We also really enjoyed the fine dining both in town and also around the Marina.
We will definitely come back to Cabo and recommend this condo for the price and location and what it offers."
