  • Loved the warmth!

"My husband and I stayed at Nancy and John's condo for a week. We had a great time and the condo was perfect for our needs! It is very clean and the views from the sixth floor patio are AWESOME! Watching the whales every morning was fantastic! We did not need or use the air conditioner as we kept the patio doors open 24/7! And, we fell asleep every night to the waves hitting the rocks and shore. We also did not need the TV, even though there are MANY stations you can watch, as we sat on the patio every night enjoying the views and lovely breezes. It's also nice having a water purification system at the condo and washer/dryer. The resort itself is very lovely too, and you really can't tell there was a hurricane there a few months back! The beach was nice and the pool too. We ate at Sunset point(above Sunset da la Mona Lisa) and Puerta Vieja and enjoyed both those restaurants. They are within walking distance from the property. We did rent a car and are glad we did, as it is much easier to get around the area with. We also went to Todos Santos and San Jose for a day each. It is very easy to get around. Thank you Nancy for opening your home to us! You were very wonderful to work with and it was a joy to be able to stay in your home!"

  • Peaceful and Beautiful Location

"We stayed here for a week with our middle school aged kids. It was so wonderful waking up in the morning and watching the whales from the balcony while enjoying breakfast. The beach is great for snorkeling most of the time but it did get a little rough some days. The little market nearby was staffed with very friendly people and they even make breakfast and lunch from scratch every day and it is quite good. Admittedly our first two days were a little rough as the power cord for the wifi was gone and there was some loud dripping noise you could hear above the master bedroom all night. To top off matters, it was a Mexican holiday weekend so we were told there may be nothing that could be done until Tuesday. However, Lori's property manager was able to coordinate with the maintenance man to get us a new cable the next day and fortunately whatever caused the noise disappeared for the remainder of our trip. I had also spoken with Lori directly and she was willing to do her best to make things right. The coffee maker broke a few days later but was promptly replaced with a brand new one. The property definitely seems to appeal to an older crowd but we really loved how peaceful and quiet it was compared to some of the hotels we saw in town. I would have loved it if the screen doors were functional so we could keep the doors open without worrying about flies getting in and there were some knobs missing on the dressers in both rooms. Also, a hot tub at the property would have been fantastic. Overall my family had a great time for our first trip to Cabo and I would consider staying here again."

  • Beautiful Villa + Isolated Beach = Relaxing Vacation

"Watch for whales and rays pool side while sipping a margarita. Relaxing! Road noise is not a big deal. The booking process with Nik was great, at first. Then there were several mix ups (the invoices they send with payment conf. are rather confusing). TransCabo picks you up at the airport (but charges $30 to stop on the way to the villa for 30 minutes at the Mega store, this should be free for as much as the villa costs) Air conditioning units in every room are nice Abundance of books & games for your use Local and US phone calls are free Proximity to the beach is a plus & the beach has very few/no people at any given time, it's virtually YOUR beach. Take your flip-flops. The granite is sharp while exploring the tide pool nooks and crannies. The sunrises are heavenly and not to miss Open floor plan makes for cooking and dining while visiting a pleasure, but the advertised 3000 sq ft must include exterior areas, b/c it isn't 3000 living space Speakers are great to hook up to an iPod in the villa. It would be much more convenient, however, to have outdoor speakers and an iPod dock. Inexpensive to do and would be a HUGE plus! Pool MAKES the vacation, but the "heated" Jacuzzi isn't exactly warm enough to enjoy in the evening. In-villa chefs are amazing- A MUST DO! We had the Surf & Turf dinner and had them do the Drop Off service, which includes them still preparing everything, they just don't stay through the meal. It is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The 'Welcome' margaritas and chips/guac/pico were AMAZING! Having a propane grill to BBQ is handy. We had plenty of propane to cook, just make sure you burn the ants off the grill first, they're pretty quick to jump on the leftovers (as they would be anywhere). Ants aren't excessive, by any means. We had enough 5 gallon water jugs for our stay, which was nice. Made our own ice cubes using that water because the cubes from the fridge smelled funny. Had maintenance issues upon checking out, which were ignored by Rodolfo and never addressed (toilet in master "runs" & the safe in guest room beeps & was locked) No another options for dining nearby as Marbella, next door, is closed. This also means there is no sundries shop next door and you must cross the highway to get any sort of BASIC amenities at the Super Mercado. The walk to the beach is steep. The maid service is excessive, for sure. They don't really do much but stand around texting while waiting for bed sheets to wash and dry. It should be optional."

  • Wonderful Experience in Cabo

"My stock request for accommodation asked about the availability of condos. Steve the owner replied it is house not a condo. It is indeed a wonderful detached house and Steve was the consummate host both prior to our departure and even while we were there. He even facilitated a poolside massage on my wife's birthday. The house is perfect for a vacation, the private pool with outdoor speakers really makes it special as do the views over the Sea of Cortez (we saw whales most days and even a pod of dolphins). One feels secure, the beach access and the access to the small group of houses is gated. It is located on 'corridor' between two extremes of Cabo San Lucas (party town), and Cabo San Jose (quiet family town) town with easy access to either. We rented a car which made life a lot easier. Both bedrooms and living room have amazing views, the kitchen is well equipped and we grilled on the outside barbecue if we didn't eat out. If you rent this accommodation, and I would recommend it to anyone, don't forget to ask Steve to share his local knowledge email!"
