  • Hylands condo

"Great time at your place. Plenty of room for six. Love the beach. Two minor issues - limited TV channels and no light over stove so kitchen dark for cooking. Some lights out in ceiling. Staff running shuttle and Le Trolle were great and always on time. Also equipment on the beach is poor condition, broken paddles, no paddles for paddle boards."

  • Quiet beach front condo in La Paz

"We visited La Paz over Spring Break to do some fishng and relaxing. We stayed in Unit E304 , a 3 bedroom, 4 bath condo with excellent pool and water views. Paraiso Del Mar is a very nice resort comprised of 5 different buildings, buildings A-E, each housing privately owned condos. The resort sits alone on a peninsula known as the El Mogote and requires a water taxi to transport you to and from the main strip of La Paz, known as the Malecon. The water taxi runs back and forth all day based on a published schedule and you can catch one every 30 minutes which we found to be very convenient and an excellent way to meet some of the friendly Ex-Pats staying/living there who were all willing to share information about local restaurants and things to do. The proprty is expansive and you will need to rent a golf cart or use their transport vans to take you to and from the water taxi and the condo buildings. We found the transport vans to be very prompt and responsive when needed and the drivers were great. A cell phone is even provided to call the transport vans when needed which is a nice touch. It is a very quiet resort on nearly 900 acres which was appealing to us as we did not have to deal with noisy neighbors. There is a very nice pool and spa and a pool side, outdoor restaurant with excellent food. They open around 1pm and serve lunch and dinner. When we arrived, one of the bedroom A/C units did not work which made for one hot night but it was fixed promptly the next day which was much appreciated. I travel often and some times there can be issues with your accomodations which is completely understandable. The way they promptly responded to the A/C issue was telling in how focused Chelle and her Property Managers are on customer service so kudos to them! We would definately stay here again!"

  • Una hermosa casa muy sorprendente!

"We rented the Apartment unit for 5 nights and we found ourselves surprisingly amazed! The large common areas are open-space type and well decorated, both rooms are comfortable, giving enough space for 3 separated adults. The kitchen is well furnished, we missed nothing but food in the fridge! Two bathrooms equipped with showers is a nice plus! The whole place is really clean and feels very safe! Nice balcony, quiet neighborhood and very well located, all the services around. Antonio, the manager is a very sweet and helpful person you can rely on. For sure it won't be such a surprise now that we know, but our next trip will definitely pass by Casa Sorpresa again!!! Gracias por todo y hasta pronto!"

  • Classic style, lots of space and great location

"The three of us – Canadians in various stages of retiring – spent two weeks in early March enjoying the colonial-style, three-bedroom Casa Abuelita. The location is great – just a block from the marvelous, five kilometer Malecon along the sea front and excellent places to eat and drink within steps and a short walk of the house. La Paz is a fabulous place to fish and explore the spectacular sea life of the Sea of Cortez. Thoughtfully the owner has reserved an ‘exclusivo’ parking space for tenants right in front of the house well demarcated with cactus planted to note the space. We were happy with each of our spacious bedrooms and their creatively decorated ensuite bathrooms (although a bit more light around the mirrors and showers would be appreciated). Being used to the most common shortfall of holiday house rentals – ill-equipped kitchens – we were very pleasantly surprised at the kitchen’s ample counter space, helpful center island and extensive appliances. The only bleat would be a repeat of a previous tenants concern that we had to stock the kitchen from scratch – surely previous renters have left spices, sugar, etc. A large open-plan dining room and living room (with cable-connected flat-screen television) completes the floor plan in a house that has excellent flow of indoor and outdoor space. The most appealing feature is the secluded courtyard where we spent many hours relaxing, drinking, reading and enjoying the peace and quiet. The outdoor space also has its own washroom and laundry space. Unfortunately the plunge pool was not functioning for most of our two weeks due to a missing part that finally arrived with a few days left. We enjoyed it for those last few days, and received a reasonable discount on the rental in recognition of its non-functioning status for most of our stay. When we needed our drinking water replenished or minor repairs performed the house support staff responded kindly. The bottom line? We would have no hesitation in recommending any of our friends and family choose Casa Abuelita for their stay in lovely La Paz."
