  • Perfect place to stay with my dog!

"First of all, I don't have anything negative to say about this casita. My month long stay there in Feb. 2015 couldn't have been better. Dhorea is a thoughtful owner and was quick to take care of anything. The fenced yard was perfect for my dog. I could just let her out in the morning and not have to worry. This casita has two en-suite bedroom/baths. There is a king bed in one bedroom and a full with a twin in the other room. There is Canadian cable TV with many channels, lot's of DVD's and a good selection of books. The rooftop deck has comfortable loungers too. I enjoyed several gatherings with the "neighbors" in the casita's next door. We had several outdoor dinners with Margarita cooking for us. This casita is not located in La Paz, but north about 6 miles, so you do need a car. When locating the casita, you actually drive onto the beach. There are three more 2 bed/2bath casita's next door if you had a large group and all wanted to stay near each other. Dhorea has also done an excellent job with a notebook that gives you all the information on the local restaurants, things to do/see and a history and facts about the area. There are sea kayak's to use too. These casita's are popular, plan to reserve a year in advance!"

"3 coules were going to Cabo for my 50th birthday and decided to squeeze La Paz in for half the week. We are SO glad we did! La Paz is a laid back city without vendors and tourists all over the beaches. This villa is WONDERFUL! The master has sliding glass doors which open to the ocean, and the 2nd master has double windows (which you could step out of!) to the ocean. The 3rd bedroom has sliding glass doors to the front patio. All 3 rooms are nice and all have bathrooms w/showers. When you come in thru the front door, there is a large covered patio with a full table which would be perfect for meals or game night. We didn't use it but it was nice to have! The master has a separate entrance off this patio, which we really liked! The sliding glass doors at the front & back (ocean facing) patios expand all the way out, which leaves the whole living room like a walk thru unit! We left the doors open the whole time we were there! The kitchen was well stocked with your typical dishes, pots & pans, silverware, etc... There was no washer/dryer which was a little disappointing, but we got over it! We spent most of the time on the porch which is steps away from the beach. Mariana (property manager) lives 2 villas down and gave us a ton of good information! She wasn't intrusive, but would come over when we called her while she was walking her dog and answer our questions. There is a 2nd patio upstairs that offers an exceptional view!! There wasn't a table or chairs up there (what a shame!!), but Mariana said we could take the ones from the patio up. Had it been set up I think we would've spent a nice amount of time up there as well! Do go up if only for some pics!! We never made it over to the hotel, but right down the beach is the Beach Club, with drinks, a pool, lounge chairs, fire pit, everything you could ask for. We went once! In summary, this place was paradise. I recommend it, would return (and cut off the Cabo leg of the trip!), and would stay at this property again. Did I mention that we left the doors open for the cool breeze while we slept. It's safe!"

  • FABULOUS Place!

"My brother's family and my family stayed together in this wonderful home. In my brothers words: "The pictures do not do this place justice." Perfect for large families - we could hardly get our kids out of the pool (special note, as with most pools in Mexico, they are not heated). A great location in the heart of the city. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Great off street parking. We hired a local woman the owner knows to cook authentic Mexican meals for us on a few nights and that really added to the experience and relaxation of the place. Definitely a 5 out of 5 stars."

  • Excellent Condo

"Stayed at the Costa Baja Condominiums overlooking the Marina....unit 301....found it through www.vrbo.com....the owner's very easy to work with....we stayed 12 nights and although I've been going to La Paz for over 20 years, this was my best vacation. I don't think I can go back to Hotels after this experience as it was very relaxing and easy....everything is made to make life easy for you...there is a laundry facility with workers to wash and fold your clothes....we had a weeks worth of clothes done for about $10.....there is a small general store there for you so you don't have to go into town, which is very convenient.....also, there is a list of recommendations for restraints and activities....the beach club which is right on the beach is within a 5 minute walk.....don't get the condos confused with the hotel....the condos are owned by individual people and doesn't have anything to do with the hotel...you will have a blast."
