  • Paraiso Del Mar

"Chelle's condo was perfect for our time in La Paz. We had another couple with us and the separate bedroom/bathroom suites provided privacy while allowing us to share the space. Great beach for walking and seeing the Dolphins up close. YThe staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool bar served the most delicious food of our trip. The short boat ride to the mainland was convenient. Since there is no market on the "island" you will want to pick up groceries in town. We are looking forward to going back for a long stay!"

  • Lovely house in a great location!

"What a lovely home in downtown La Paz! It was in a really great location walking distance to great food and of course walking distance from La Fuente, our favorite palateria in the world! The house was well appointed with cooking utensils and pots... this is where I feel a lot of houses I've stayed at have skimped... but certainly not here. The house does feel very private and safe. I found the house a little dark in the day, but overall it was well worth staying there. Just a few blocks from the beach in the better part of Downtown La Paz."

  • Very comfortable and secure, lovely sunsets!

"We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The condo is nice and roomy. So much so that the two of us didn't really utilize the whole place but that's partly because we spent so much time enjoying the beaches and La Paz itself. Everything in the condo is functional. The kitchen was perfectly adequate for cooking breakfast every morning (which is the only meals we cooked there). Paul, you need a cutting board and some resharpened knives:) The king sized bed is very comfortable and waking up to that view of the sea is just phenomenal. We rented a car (highly recommended) and were able to park within the gated parking area. Everything felt very secure. The condo is just on the north end of La Paz which makes it quiet but very easy access to restaurants and other offerings. Everything was exactly as the VRBO site and photos described. The Malecon was so lovely to stroll on. It gets lively as soon as the sun goes down. Thanks Paul!"

  • Nice Place

"We stayed here for 5 days just recently, the house is very modern and clean. It took a little time to figure out the shower situation. The taps in Mexico are the opposite way around to that in US, also the hot water comes out for approx 1-2mins then it runs cold, eventually it will reheat and dispense hot again but there is a period where the water consistently runs cold approx 1-2mins. We assume the water tank must be on the small side. Also when you adjust either tap there is a a little delayed time before the water adjusts, so be patient :) It's not a big deal once you figure it out. I would run it, use it, stop it, shave etc then use again as needed, rather than stand and wait and get cold in the process. The shower in the master bath was less predictable. The water in 2 of the toilets run constantly which is a bit of a waste. So my husband took it upon himself to turn them on and off as used, which became a hassle. The owner of this property really needs to have the street lights outside fixed by the electricity company as they became such a hinder. It was windy during our stay and the street lights have metal lids on the tops of them which were loose, so of course they rattled all night long, in the master suit we could hear, then moved over to the front bedroom and there is a light right outside that window. I am a light sleeper though, I brought ear plugs and it didn't seem to help. There is a barking dog that lives across the street and 2 days out of the 5 we were woken up by it around 6am. The Dvd player is broken and USA disc don't work in Mexico different region. Thank goodness I brought my lap top :) It's definitely worth the money we paid $115 a night so not complaining just sharing our experience. We chose this location close to swim with the Whale Sharks but high winds cancelled the trip. Also wanted to scuba dive but the excursions for diving were 9hrs long 3hrs each way on a boat and then 3hrs diving 3 dives and surface interval time. Seemed like a long day for us so we passed on that. You definitely need a car if you're in this location. The beach out front was ok to walk on but not a sunbathing kind of beach. Supermarket was a few minutes by car. IMO La Paz is best suited for 55+, some bars & restaurants they had a nice board walk. On the whole it was nice to get away and the days were very sunny and think in the mid 80's it was nice having that nice breeze."
