  • FABULOUS all the way around!!

"We had a blast in La Paz! Swam with whale sharks just steps from the condo, never had a bad meal at the restaurant next door and everyone was so kind and helpful, especially Hugo and Leo. The condo itself is a slice of heaven- furnished beautifully, in just the right spot to catch a cooling breeze and definitely felt like home. The property/grounds were extremely well maintained and manicured. The sunsets from the balcony were our favorite part of the day. The owner, Paul, was fast to respond to any questions we had before booking and after arrival. We will definitely be back, this condo and location and surrounding beauty ROCKS!! Thank you for a fabulous vacation!"

  • Beautiful La Paz and Paraiso del Mar

"We had a wonderful time here! The condo has an amazing view and is well appointed. Excellent communication with owner and outstanding on-site manager (Maude). We swam with whale sharks, snorkeled with sea lions and enjoyed the beach. The transportation staff at the resort were amazing with door to boat service, always friendly and on time. The pool food was excellent, and the hot tub was fun! We would definitely return to this condo and resort. We did not rent a car as taxi's are plentiful and very inexpensive. My sister did rent a car and left it parked just outside the marina area for free."

  • A Vacation Paradise

"I stayed at Bev's condo with three friends for a two week vacation in March of 2015. As soon as we walked through the door , we knew we were in for something special . The view out the sliding glass doors of the Sea of Cortez is spectacular ! The condo is decorated in beautiful Mexican colors and Bev has lots of Mexican art on display. (When I visit a foreign country, I don't want to stay in a place that doesn't reflect the culture and character of that area.) The pool area exceeded all my expectations. I spent many hours there , under a palapa, reading books and enjoying the peace and beautiful view. All of us enjoyed swimming in the pool and watching sunsets from the jacuzzi. Bev provided us with lots of helpful info about the condo site and La Paz. All her restaurant recommendations were "spot on." We especially enjoyed being able to walk next door to La Concha Hotel for drinks and food. Everything we had was excellent. As other people have noted, Bev is an excellent communicator. She answers questions, even the silly ones , quickly and kindly. My friends and I hope to return to this beautiful condo in the future."

  • Classic style, lots of space and great location

"The three of us – Canadians in various stages of retiring – spent two weeks in early March enjoying the colonial-style, three-bedroom Casa Abuelita. The location is great – just a block from the marvelous, five kilometer Malecon along the sea front and excellent places to eat and drink within steps and a short walk of the house. La Paz is a fabulous place to fish and explore the spectacular sea life of the Sea of Cortez. Thoughtfully the owner has reserved an ‘exclusivo’ parking space for tenants right in front of the house well demarcated with cactus planted to note the space. We were happy with each of our spacious bedrooms and their creatively decorated ensuite bathrooms (although a bit more light around the mirrors and showers would be appreciated). Being used to the most common shortfall of holiday house rentals – ill-equipped kitchens – we were very pleasantly surprised at the kitchen’s ample counter space, helpful center island and extensive appliances. The only bleat would be a repeat of a previous tenants concern that we had to stock the kitchen from scratch – surely previous renters have left spices, sugar, etc. A large open-plan dining room and living room (with cable-connected flat-screen television) completes the floor plan in a house that has excellent flow of indoor and outdoor space. The most appealing feature is the secluded courtyard where we spent many hours relaxing, drinking, reading and enjoying the peace and quiet. The outdoor space also has its own washroom and laundry space. Unfortunately the plunge pool was not functioning for most of our two weeks due to a missing part that finally arrived with a few days left. We enjoyed it for those last few days, and received a reasonable discount on the rental in recognition of its non-functioning status for most of our stay. When we needed our drinking water replenished or minor repairs performed the house support staff responded kindly. The bottom line? We would have no hesitation in recommending any of our friends and family choose Casa Abuelita for their stay in lovely La Paz."
