"The place is a lovely paradise, and the house is in excellent shape and taste. The surroundings are kept with much dedication. In this time of the year it is quite hot, so the air conditioning has to be used all time; maybe wintertime would be more suitable . The space inside the house is wide and comfortable in colors, furniture, ,also the bathrooms are wide ."

We really don't want to share how WONDERFUL it was ;^)
"We'd love to tell you all a bunch of lies so that no one else ever goes and we can keep this gem a secret to make sure it's always open and available just for US ~ !! But that wouldn't be very nice now, would it? Ok, Ok, we'll give you the true skinny ...
The pictures are true to form ... the first one with the flowers is from the patio which flows right out onto beautiful sand. It's a short jaunt toward the ocean to get to the pool with beautiful lounging chairs for superb whale watching. Or you can step off the pool deck and walk to the ocean's edge and stroll along the beach.
The unit is spacious and delightful, it feels just like home. The two big bedrooms, each with a large bathroom including fabulous showers and large tubs were wonderful. The kitchen is large with everything you need for cooking and serving. It was perfect for two couples traveling together.
There are more typical ocean resorts on each side of Terrasol, like hotels, crowded living ... all inclusives. And yes, great for some, but if you want a "get away from the world" feel to your vacation, this would be a better choice. Remember this is ocean side, so no getting in the water.
We rented a car and stopped at Costco and Walmart on the drive to Terrasol to buy breakfast, lunch, and snack foods ... don't forget the Malibu coconut rum for your Cabo Sunset cocktails (mix with vodka, orange juice, and cranberry juice ~ you can thank me later :))
For dinners, you can take your fresh caught fish with you to dinner at any restaurant and for $6 a plate they will cook it up to your preference (blackened, yum yum!) and serve it along with rice and veggies. Of course, this means you'll want to book your fishing excursion on day one. We used Victor Santi and are happy to recommend him: http://santisportfishing.com/
We loved our (tough) hike through the rocks to Lover's beach and back up over the mountain peaks to Locals beach. Snorkeling at Chileno bay was amazing. The whales from Terrasol were amazing. Just perfect.
We understand Terrasol might have its own desalinization plant, but whether or not, we all drank the water at the resort with absolutely no ill effects. The unit had a small bottle of fruit and vegetable wash that we used, but you might want to bring some with you. We also hope the owners are able to get the outside hot tub back up and running soon as that would have been a nice extra touch.
Enjoy ~ we'll be wishing we were with you!"

"First of all, the location in this spawling community is A-1. And, check-in is a breeze. The home is across the street from the hotel and its amenities, yet a two minute walk from the Founder's Pool, and five minute strut to the Wine Bar (which also serves small plates all priced at 55 pesos or the equivalent of $4.50 at this time). The Founder's Pool is immaculate, well lanscaped and sparkling. It's served by cheerful Pedro, who operates the nearby deli. He will bring you seriously amazing guac/chips and drinks at half the cost of the hotel. We were in heaven.
Admittedly we were there after the major snowbird season, but I imagine in full season, well behaved kids and floaties are fine in supervised doses at the Founder's Pool -- but the nearby hotel offers more accommodation for this, as well as other kids.
Jane's place is terrific for families, or really, for any group. The public spaces are arranged off the immaculate verdant courtyard with bubbling fountain. There are two bedrooms downstairs on the ground floor and one bedroom on the second level, with sunning deck and covered outdoor barbeque kitchen. The third level is an observation deck with views of the golf course and sea. It is truly a special place. Jane has thought of everything a week stay might require. (except if you're laundering your beachclothes, bring laundry detergent to fuel her stacked washer/dryer combo!) It was fabulous to come home with a suitcase full of clean clothes!
If you have never been to Loreto, you will need need to rely on the orientation binder Jane provides with everything from restaurants to medical emergency info, which is good and updated. But Ramon, the property manager can help with more specific queries. Email him the night before and you will have an answer in the morning.
In retrospect, I'd advise to pre-order the groceries for at least the first 24 hours, something we did not do. Yes, there's a surcharge, but I can imagine arriving with a food/drinks as a comfort. Jane can help you with that.
The place is a gem.

The Perfect Wedding Venue.. and a Fantastic place to Vacation
"My husband and I were married at Villa Marcella and it was the most magical experience of my life. The views are breathtaking- perfect golden sand, beautifully shaped boulders, and miles of open ocean. If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further, you will not find a better place. We had a barefoot beach ceremony, and have stunning photos of the waves rippling behind us. There is plenty of room around the pool for the reception, and a great spot for a dance floor as well. We had 75 people and there was plenty of room. Aside from being the most beautiful wedding venue, Villa Marcella, Descanso and Gran Vista are all amazing places to just vacation with friends and family. We rented Descanso and Gran Vista for a week as well for our guests, and every single person said it was perfect in both accommodation and service. Adrian is the main caretaker of Villa Marcella and he is a kind, generous and personable man. And he is an incredible chef! We hosted group dinners before the wedding for our guests, and Adrian and the other caretakers cooked for everyone, and their dishes were really outstanding. His jumbo shrimp was to die for! If you stay here, you should absolutely have them cook for you. Having the staff was wonderful- they did the perfect job at gaging when we needed their help and when we needed privacy. The villa itself is spectacular. We called it the marble palace. And lastly, Amanda, the manager of the villa is the most helpful, responsive person I have ever dealt with. She told me last fall she would help me along the way since this was also my wedding venue, and she went way above and beyond responding to obscure questions from guests that I passed along to putting up signs on each door stating the name of the room, and much much more. She is an incredibly easy person to work with, which I think is a huge reason to also consider this for if not your wedding venue, than a great vacation spot. Best place I’ve ever stayed, hands down."
