  • True Baja experience

"The location was perfect, with swimmable beach right outside (swim a short distance past the rocks) and walking distance to town. We used the two beach cruisers to bike into town as well. Whales were frisky not too far offshore and gave us some shows during our stay. The hotel was stocked with kayaks, paddle boards and some snorkeling equipment as well, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals at home. The local restaurants are great, and there are plenty nearby. The hotel is clean and everything was in working order, but I held back a star because of a couple of very fixable things. The hotel has a booklet that gives the procedures for getting clean linens and includes the internet password, but the only copy was in the penthouse so many of us didn't see it for days. It should be in every room. Also, although once we found out how to get clean towels, it didn't always work. In the end myself and my partner had 2 bath towels, one hand towel and no washcloths. The housecleaner didn't always return the number of items picked up. There was a half bottle of body wash in the shower, but once that was gone it was never replaced and we washed with shampoo. Hotels usually provide soap. We wiped up the dirty kitchen floor a few times, but housekeeping never did. Lastly, the outside of the toilet never seemed to get cleaned. The tank top and the area behind the seat were clearly never wiped down. I did it myself with a damp towel after I found out how to get clean towels, but that's a pretty basic cleaning function for housekeeping. My complaints are really minor, just a word to housekeeping would help. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend the Agave Hotel for a great vacation spot."

  • Perfect for family

"Condo was wonderful, and worked very well for our family of five. We have three school-age kids, and the set-up worked perfectly. Enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. Especially loved the balcony-couldn't get enough of the view! Appreciated the full kitchen- had what we needed and the Mega is conveniently on the way from the airport. Very quiet at resort since off-season. Able to walk down or take a golf cart to the Hilton and meet up with friends or try restaurant there. Had an awesome stay!"

  • Our New Favorite Vacation Spot

"We can't thank you enough for sharing your beautiful casa in Paraiso with us. Our stay there was perfect, so comfortable and fun. We played tennis every morning and went to town or beyond every day exploring and eating, so perfectly tied together by your speedy golf cart. We must have said to each other 10 times every day how awesome this whole experience is - the peaceful vibe, the perfect weather, the sweet locals and this part of Mexico we never knew existed. We loved our 2 visits to Balandra beach, one reason we both prefer this over Maui. We're on the plane now almost to Tijuana and are looking through our many photos already missing it but looking forward. Some day we may be your neighbors there."

  • Family time in Mexico

"Our family very much enjoyed our one week stay. Such a relaxing and peaceful experience with activities nearby if you were so inclined, plus easy access to groceries and restaurants. The town of San Jose del Cabo is still recovering from hurricane Odile and appreciates the tourists who do make the trip, as their livelihood depends on them. The villa was well stocked with the supplies necessary for entertaining and playing, and meeting with the unit manager was stress free. We would highly recommend it!"
