  • El Zalate Is A Remarkable Destination for Relaxation

"We travelled in the month of April with our two young children and found this to be our most relaxing vacation so far. The condo it's self is tastefully furnished, immaculate, with remarkable views, in a prime location with everything possible provided to make for an extremely comfortable stay. An extensive movie library, games, books, magazines, pool toys, binoculars, coolers and more were available. I was most impressed with the prompt communication with the owners and that they are such terrific hosts providing a personal website and binder full of information on the area. We were also welcomed with large bowl of fruit and a chilled beverages (please pay forward). The location of this complex could not be more ideal being walking distance to many modern conviences while being far enough from the main hotel zone that it remains quiet and peaceful. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the pools were always clean. We often had it all to ourselves including the beach. There were waves perfect for body boarding or surfing and the water was warm. There is an array of things to do in and around the San Jose area. We could have easily stayed another week or two. I can not say enough about this fantastic peace of paradise. Thank you to the owners for making our stay so enjoyable. We hope to be back again."

"I have been a bit remiss posting this review but wanted to Penny to know just how beautiful this property is and how much we enjoyed it. It surpassed any of our expectations. The condo was not only beautiful and well appointed, but the location was private and quiet. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to come back. Penny was more than helpful and was a joy to work with. Thanks again for letting us use your lovely home."

"Fantastic! This property is exactly as advertised. We had a wonderful time walking the beach, playing in the ocean, relaxing poolside, and enjoying the view while eating meals from the spacious deck. The beds were perfect, the bathroom and laundry facilities were of high standards. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the bus stop. We love San Jose del Cabo."

  • Absolutely beautiful

"My wife and I had a fantastic 10 days here sitting on the large deck reading listening and watching the beach and surf. Falling asleep to surf. We enjoyed swimming, snorkelling at Chileano and Palmilla Beach, exploring San Jose del Cabo (cobblestones and old town) and Cabo San Lucas (arch). The condo is extremely clean, well laid out and has everything you need including satellite tv and wifi. The 160 degree view of the sea and beach is incredible and makes you not want to leave. We will be back"

San Jose del Cabo Travel Tips

San Jose Del Cabo Vacation Rentals for the Mature

Rest and relaxation, the two necessities of vacation, are plentiful in San Jose Del Cabo, California. San Jose Del Cabo is on the Baja Peninsula of California in an area that can seem quite confusing if you have never traveled there or viewed a map. The Baja Peninsula is definitely Mexico despite using Baja California in its name. When you rent any of the San Jose Del Cabo vacation rentals, you will immediately see the difference in other vacation spots and that of Cabo San Lucas. Cabo San Lucas is a hot destination for college students and young couples, whereas San Jose Del Cabo is for the more mature group. Adults who want rest and relaxation always take advantage of the San Jose Del Cabo vacation houses.

San Jose Del Cabo Vacation Houses and Nearby Heritage and Culture

Baja California has its roots in the 16th and 17th century, when Spanish galleons would drop anchor on the coast to find fresh water. Many of the ships were coming from the Philippines to Acapulco but would be unable to make it without a stop on the peninsula for water. The bays were also a prominent spot for pirates to raid ships because they were able to hide and surprise the Spanish galleons full of cargo. This led to the first permanent settlement of the Baja Peninsula. In 1730, the area received yet another change as Padre Nicolas Tamaral began the Mission San Jose del Cabo overlooking the Rio San Jose. Again the Spanish lost ground fighting with Native Indians and mosquitoes until a military outpost strengthened their hold. The Mexican American War decided the fate of the Baja Peninsula, leaving it in control of Mexico while the upper portion was engulfed in the U.S. When you stay at San Jose Del Cabo vacation houses, you will be treated to more of the heritage and culture the Mexican destination has to offer.

The Practicality of San Jose Del Cabo Condos

First and foremost, San Jose Del Cabo condos are located in Mexico which means you need a passport no matter how you enter the country. There are two ways to reach San Jose Del Cabo. You can enter Mexico at Tijuana which is just below San Diego. Highway 1 takes you all the way down to the very tip of Baja California. Your other option is to fly into San Jose Del Cabo International Airport which is eight miles to the north of the city. Taxis are available but if you want to see the entire area, you will need to rent a car. San Jose Del Cabo is spread out over several miles which means many of the attractions require a taxi ride or car. A taxi averages $15 to $30 depending on how far you are travelling, though public transportation in the form of buses is a viable alternative to renting a car or taxi as well.

Beaches and Recreation for Your Vacation to Mexico

San Jose Del Cabo provides you with fun on several beaches including La Playita. La Playita is one of the calmest layouts of sandy beach located approximately two miles south of San Jose in Pueblo la Playa. They have new public facilities with a cobbled walkway from the beach to the town and a playground for the children. Another beach, Playa Costa Azul, is better for watersports, particularly surfing. Underwater recreation can be found at Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park. This is the only protected coral reef on the Sea of Cortez. Its amazing reefs hold many secrets for divers and if you snorkel, there are definitely plenty of fish to view from above. Shopping and dining are also spread throughout San Jose Del Cabo if you feel like taking in some of the local color. Your San Jose Del Cabo vacation rentals provide you with a kitchen in the event you wish to prepare your own meals.
