  • Paradise found

"Our 2nd visit to Marina Cabo Plaza was as extraordinary as the first. We returned to this unit after having been fully satisfied with the amenities and location last year. It was almost like coming home (if home happens to be in paradise). The condo is a short (5 minute) walk from Medano Beach. Although the path to the beach displays some effects from hurricane Odile, it remains an easy walk. Medano beach is one of the few "swimable" beaches in Cabo. The water is clean and most often - calm. Our favourite part of this condo is the huge balcony. For morning coffee, pre-dinner cocktails, or a late evening nightcap, there is no better place to be. There is plenty of room out here to barbeque and dine and we had as many as 6 people eating at the outdoor table. The staff at Marina Cabo Plaza are warm, friendly and inviting. This also extends to the staff at all surrounding establishments (Mango Cantina, Mis Suentos, El Patio Choyero and The Usual Suspects). It was so wonderful to be welcomed back with hugs from the staff that we met last year. We have visited many different vacation destinations throughout Mexico and the Caribbean, but have never experienced a place that felt so much like our second home....even moments after arriving! I can't wait to return again next year. The owner is a pleasure to deal with....prompt with communication and always ready to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible."

  • Fantastic Time in Cabo!

"I rented this condo for my family of 4 for a spring break trip with 7 other families. We all stayed at La Estancia and I have to say this was one of the nicest units we've rented from via VRBO (have used VRBO in Breckenridge and Orlando). The property manager was very easy to deal with and responded to a couple small questions I had during the week stay. Given we were there in the heart of spring break, there were lots of spring breakers on the beach and at other properties, but the clientele at La Estancia was definitely quieter and respectful of each other, no complaints about loud noise, etc...as management kept tight control on later evening noise. The unit was very nice, photos do it complete justice. The only small complaint I'd have was the dishes were kind of sparse in terms of containers for left overs but we managed as we did eat in quite a bit. All the staff at the condo were first class that we dealt with. The pool food was very good but a tad pricey. Walmart was perfect for grocery shopping but we also did get a couple things at the on-site market which was convenient. The city bus/taxi's were prevalent. Bus to downtown was 12 pesos or $1 USD and there were tons right at the entrance of the property. Free Wifi in the unit worked very well most of the time, I only had to reset the router in the master bedroom a couple times and there was free Wifi down by the pool as well that worked pretty well. That was nice to have so I could keep an eye on work emails. One of the couples sat through a timeshare presentation for the newer unit next door, but there was no high-pressure people around. I think we were approached once at the beginning of our visit and just said we weren't interested. We will definitely be back to the Estancia and I'd love it if we could get this unit again...very pleased overall with the value for our $."

  • We loved our Loreto vacation!

"Our family of four had the best time in this villa, in this unique little community, and in the lovely town of Loreto. Prior to our trip, the owner was always easy to work with and answered all questions by email or phone. The villa is as pictured and in a quiet location as described. It was perfect for my somewhat noisy family. The layout was nice with large bedrooms and restrooms, a very comfortable couch, plenty of towels and robes, and a functional kitchen which we used everyday for at least two meals. The villa was tiled throughout and decorated attractively, yet did not have lots of breakables which is another bonus for family travel. Also, it was very clean and came with a washer/dryer. Air conditioning worked well. July is the low tourist time in the area, so the villa community was quiet. Everyday, we walked to the beach (2 min. walk) and swam in the ocean. Such a calm bay! The water was warm and in the early mornings fish could be seen. In the evenings we swam in the pool which was also warm. The local wine bar makes very refreshing mango margaritas and the hotel had great tortilla chips with guacamole that they served to us under a palapa on the beach. The villa community landscaping is beautiful with an assortment of cacti, bougainvillea, palms, and many other lush plants that grow well in humid weather. Everyone we came in contact with was very helpful. In our rental car, we ventured to town or sites beyond everyday. We purchased groceries and Mexican pastries often at Super Ley Express in Loreto and ate the delicious fruit bars at the local ice cream place. We ate at several restaurants, but our favorite was a very small mom and pop place under a thatched roof in the middle of town. Not in the tourist section. We also enjoyed Vista Al Mar. The absolute highlight of our trip was twice going to the marina and hiring a small fishing boat with captain to take us to three islands to snorkel? On one trip we came upon a huge frolicking pod (80-100) of dolphins who swam and played around our boat! This was a wonderful vacation. We highly recommend this villa and community to other adventurous families!"

  • Best Cabo Experience Yet!

"I stayed in this villa for two weeks with some close friends; I stayed in the upper bedroom which had the best views. Then some other good friends came so I moved to the lower bedroom; which a also really liked... it has its own private bath, and is closes to the kitchen ( and cold beverages ) :) . The hot tub heats up in a snap and the pool ambiance is great. The surrounding views of the mountains, distant beaches, boats sailing, and beautiful nearby homes was so nice to gaze upon. We'd usually whip out our computers and get some work done in the mornings... wifi is better than my connection back here in the Seattle area and they even have a Vonage phone for making calls back to the states for free. In the evenings we'd make our way downtown for dinner and drinks... this place is close enough to the action.... but just far enough to feel "away from it all" . Can't wait to go back to Cabo again... I hope this place will be available then!"
