  • CABO MIKE'S Place!

"This was our 1st trip to Cabo. It was my brother's 50th Birthday. My brother, his girlfriend and others on this trip had all been to Cabo before; & obviously They & Now-We, All Love Cabo! I've never planned a vacation through VRBO, but immediately I was sold because Mike was always available, has great attn. to detail:giving us helpful information on everything U can imagine! His recommendations were right on & greatly enjoyed by all(Mike even included price range). His Condos are lovely and clean, clean, clean! Did I mention I Love staying in a Clean place? The whole Marina Plaza is Clean! What a Joy! We loved being on the Marina side: watching the beautiful boats, yachts, wildlife (the seals swim right up into the docks-so fun to watch!)... The immediate area surrounding the Condo: shopping, restaurants, bars, boardwalk nicely paved/ well lit for easy walking. The staff at Marina Cabo Plaza too can't be beat! I could have hung out right in that immediate, lovely, marina area & never left! Of course, the other adventure seekers in our group, had us doing all kinds of fun stuff. My brother's girlfriend chartered an amazing party boat that was like a floating island. They provided the the best authentic Mex food, cooked right on the boat, everything U can think of to drink, snorkeling, kayaks…And-we boarded right there at the Marina. The water is gorgeous; absolutely perfect for swimming and snorkeling even in March! The beach is an easy walk. In the couple weeks we have been home, we have talked to several people who stayed both at the Marina & others that stayed in offsite resorts. The folks that stayed at the Marina liked not having to have a car, everything very convenient, as opposed to the resort folks that had limited choices. We felt very safe staying in the Marina area. We girls walked around at night & with all the lovely restaurants' cafe seating adjacent to the boardwalk, provides a great people place to stroll, stop for a bite to eat, have a drink, shop, and repeat (tons of great places!) In addition to Clean, I forgot to mention the condo has everything U need; it's attractive, very comfortable and has a great private balcony for taking it all in. One important thing I want to add, is it's Unpretentious! I Love that! Cabo is Mexico's Best! We developed our own term of endearment, "CABO BABY"!"

  • Trip of a Lifetime...Year after Year!!

"This was our second time to book a stay at "Vista Hermosa".We were really looking forward to the trip given that Cabo has always been my favorite destination and after last years stay at CVH it is also now my families as well. This year however would throw us a curveball in the fact that Hurricane Odile hit just less than a month before we were to arrive. As expected we were nervous but within days of the hurricane I was on the phone with Leslie and she was able to keep me in the loop and updated throughout the entire process. I cannot explain to you how helpful Leslie was in passing along information about what restaraunts, bars, etc, were affected by the storm and also how things were coming along in Cabo. We want to say again THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your patience and help! As for the house there were only very, VERY, minimal damages that could be noticed from the hurricane. To be honest we wouldnt even have noticed them more than likely if Leslie had not been up front and tell us about them ahead of time. ALL of these things were also in the process of being fixed by the time we arrived or were already fixed!! Just like Leslie promised! Once again Leslie was up front with us about EVERYTHING and there was never any information witheld. Leslie even went as far as to send us appetizers and drinks from Ediths up to the house! This went a very long way with our group and made a lasting impression. As far as our trip we couldnt have asked for a better trip once gain this year. Our group consisted of 4 couples all of which were family. We arrived just like last year to Rocio the house manager at the house to greet us and run over the house once again. Stuff like how the jacuzzi worked, etc...and she was in contact with us as well throughout the trip and the women even scheduled hot stone massages at the house one day through Rocio that they said were excellent! Downtown Cabo san Lucas and the marina literally looked as if untouched by the storm. Everything such as Cabo Wabo, Squid Roe, and most all other restaraunts/bars were all ready for business. The same can be said for Medano Beach all of the bars and restaraunts are open and ready for business even though we had it to ourselves due to limited flights being let in at that time. Also fishing was amazing! Over 3 days we caught 1 blue marlin (lost another), 4 striped marlin (jumped 3 more), 2 sailfish, 34 tuna, and 39 dorado! If your going to Cabo look no further than CVH!"

  • True Baja experience

"The location was perfect, with swimmable beach right outside (swim a short distance past the rocks) and walking distance to town. We used the two beach cruisers to bike into town as well. Whales were frisky not too far offshore and gave us some shows during our stay. The hotel was stocked with kayaks, paddle boards and some snorkeling equipment as well, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals at home. The local restaurants are great, and there are plenty nearby. The hotel is clean and everything was in working order, but I held back a star because of a couple of very fixable things. The hotel has a booklet that gives the procedures for getting clean linens and includes the internet password, but the only copy was in the penthouse so many of us didn't see it for days. It should be in every room. Also, although once we found out how to get clean towels, it didn't always work. In the end myself and my partner had 2 bath towels, one hand towel and no washcloths. The housecleaner didn't always return the number of items picked up. There was a half bottle of body wash in the shower, but once that was gone it was never replaced and we washed with shampoo. Hotels usually provide soap. We wiped up the dirty kitchen floor a few times, but housekeeping never did. Lastly, the outside of the toilet never seemed to get cleaned. The tank top and the area behind the seat were clearly never wiped down. I did it myself with a damp towel after I found out how to get clean towels, but that's a pretty basic cleaning function for housekeeping. My complaints are really minor, just a word to housekeeping would help. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend the Agave Hotel for a great vacation spot."
