  • Terrific View

"We stayed in this wonderful condo in March 2015. The views of the city and Sea of Cortez are terrific and condo offers ample space. The beds are comfortable, couch was newer and great, and the kitchen table is in good shape. The best part of condo was the balcony with the views. The granite in the kitchen is nice. There is an opportunity to improve the kitchen with some updates on coffee maker and some nonglass dishware. The tile floors throughout were nice and in great shape. We liked the location because of the views it offers being up in the hills and access to the incredible neighborhood. The huge homes are great to drive around to see and you can play tennis($15/hour) and best of all you get access to the private neighborhood Pedegral beach. You can also get to the Marina very easily from the condo location. The pool and the grounds for the condo are well kept. The garage for our car was adequate as well. You are in the hills so you will do a bit of walking up and down stairs, but there is an elevator. Donna was great to work with on logistics and recommendations.. We had one issue with a power outage in the condo and Donna was very considerate. We rented a car which was fine for most part but Cabo is confusing to drive in with poor signs and GPS doesn't work well. But if you want to have the freedom to go to the beaches and Walmart etc then renting car is the way to go. But it is expensive in Mexico with the insurance and taxes. I would recommend going to the marina to negotiate a whale watching and Lovers beach visit and you can rent jet skis from Marina. There is no need to reserve these online as you will pay five times more. You can drive to the beaches to snorkel at Santa Maria and Chilleno but the signs from the road for Chilleno are not up so try your GPS. We also really enjoyed the fine dining both in town and also around the Marina. We will definitely come back to Cabo and recommend this condo for the price and location and what it offers."

  • A Great Place to Spend New Years with Friends

"Renting Casa Flamingo with our friends was one of the best vacation decisions we ever made. Carmen is very easy to work with and his property manager onsite was an absolute delight. Between the two of them, they made everything very easy for us, and we had a great time. The house is stunning. Each room is well maintained and has it's own bathroom on suite. This is a great house for a group of friends or large family since there is a huge kitchen and great dining spaces both in and outdoors. We enjoyed using the BBQ and cooked quite a bit in kitchen. We also very much enjoyed Casa Flamingo's private pool and Jacuzzi. Everything is very well maintained, and if we had a problem, we were able to easily get in touch with the property manager. Finally, the location was fantastic. We could very easily walk to bars, restaurants, the beach, and activities that left from the pier. We did not even rent a car, and we were totally fine. The development also felt very safe, and we never felt uneasy in the gated community. Overall we loved our experience, and we would certainly go back to Casa Flamingo for another vacation."

  • Rest and Relaxation At Its Finest!

"If you like peace and quiet at a wonderful home with a perfect climate and outstanding view, this place checks all the boxes! We were four couples (Bring On The Margaritas!) staying there in March 2015. The four suites are exactly the same so no conflict there. We never needed the AC in the suites as it cooled down nicely for sleeping. Low 80's for daytime temps and pretty low humidity for oceanfront property. Lots of windows for an outstanding view anywhere in the house. The loft was very nice as well with three beds and bathroom. Pool was great, ocean was a very comfortable temp for snorkeling. Octavio brought us dinner two of the nights we were there and a few nights we ate at the resort a short walk to the south. All the food we had during our vacation was wonderful! We enjoyed walks on the beach, sea kayaking, snorkeling, fishing and a lot of laying around by the pool. We took the rental van to Los Barriles one day and Todos Santos another day. Our last night we drove three miles north to Octavio's restaurant for a pig roast. It was wonderful! Great place to rejuvenate your soul! We will be back!"

  • A PERFECT FAMILY GATHERING

"Our family, two elders (well, not really that elder, 70 and and 72), 4 kids and their spouses, and 7 of our 11 grandchildren (ages 18 months to 18 years) came together at Casa Alvarado for a week of sun and warmth and family fun. Susan was so very helpful in our planning. I must have asked her a million questions, and she patiently answered each one, so we really felt prepared when we arrived. Our family came from all over the USA plus Chile, so coordination was really helpful. All came by plane, but then we had two car rentals and the rest came via Octavio. We found we could easily have done with one car or even none. The car rates appear low, but expect to pay at least 3 times the quote by the time you buy the insurance! It makes Octavio very reasonable. We shopped on our way in, so we picked up staples at the little town of El Cardonal and never made it back to Los Barilles until we were leaving. Griselda prepared delicious meals for us several nights which were greatly enjoyed, and we had lots of fun cooking together the other nights. We, the grandparents, really enjoyed taking each of our grandchildren to breakfast at the hotel, for a little one on one time. We are big pickle ball players, and we were able to use the tennis court to play pickle ball, as well as some good basketball games. We loved seeing the sunrises, shooting stars, whales, dolphins. One day we rented several horses for a ride on the beach and one day Carlos arranged for a fishing trip for three of our guys, who brought home the bacon for dinner that night. We loved the kayaks, paddle board, snorkeling gear, and sand toys. The routine was, first time at the beach, then time at the pool, then back to the beach.... you get the picture. Perhaps the biggest hit was the ping pong table which got lots of use. We loved the set up of the house with a separate entrance for the lower bedrooms and casita. The location is very isolated (that's a positive for us), and yet there was always plenty to keep everyone happily occupied. Carlos was a dream.... always available to help us, stop and get a few supplies, arrange for fishing and horse back riding and rides back to the airport. Thank you, Susan, again for all of your help and generosity. This was truly a wonderful family gathering."
