  • a "real" Todos Santos neighbourhood nest

"It was the second place we stayed in Todos Santos on this holiday, the first being a house by the beach in the Las Tunas area. It was quite a contrast but offered a much "truer" local experience as the neighbourhood is primarily families who really live there (as opposed to a whole "zone" with temporary, non Mexican, vacationers). The suite is spacious and functional (we were a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters), nicely decorated and well equipped. The terraces offer a lovely view over all of Todos santos and even the waves breaking on the beach are still audible. The neighbourhood is noisy as sound does carry up hill and the roosters and dogs take some getting used to - a large container of earplugs was graciously provided beside the bed - obviously this is a common issue. Casa Claera is a great spot to stay for those who want to taste a bit of the real way of life in Todos Santos. I found it very reasonably priced when compared with what other places are on offer... great value for money."

  • Can't wait to go back for another stay!

"My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic time at Casita Pepita, and we highly recommend it. The location was great, right at the beach and far enough from town to be very quiet, yet close enough to easily go in for groceries or dinner or anything else you might need. Mike and Mir were fantastic hosts. They told us the local spots and were very friendly. We appreciated the way everything worked well and was so aesthetically pleasing. All the details were very nice, much nicer than any other vacation rentals. You could tell this was more than a business . . . it was designed for family and friends."

  • Dreamy, comfortable, private getaway!

"What a wonderful find! We visit Mexico frequently, but this was our first visit to the Todos Santos area. So glad that we chose to stay at Casablanca in the neighboring beach town of El Pescadero. From the backdrop of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains, to the desert, to the white sands and deep blue Pacific ocean- stunning! The drive from the airport takes about an hour and is on a new highway. After reaching El Pescadero, you'll take dirt roads from the highway to the beachfront and Casablanca. The roads are wide and well-traveled by locals. Our travel plans were last minute, so previous bookings meant we had to be flexible and stay our first night in the upstairs south wing and the rest of our stay in the west wing. It was fun to experience both rentals. Specifics about each spot are described in the website, but basically, they are both awesome places to stay! Spotless, super comfortable, thoughtfully appointed. The south wing is bigger, with a "living room" area, a panoramic view of the ocean on one side and the Sierra Laguna mountains on the other, and a wide comfortable balcony for gazing at the water, whales, etc. A large window right next to the bed looks out to sea. The west wing is smaller, but still gracious with a large, inviting bathroom. You can see the ocean from inside the room, but you'll probably spend most of your time on the very large private terrace watching the waves break while lazing on the outside bed! Casablanca is on a wide, long, white sandy beach that is most often empty. A popular surfing and swimming beach, Cerritos, is a few minutes away. There is a restaurant (takes credit cards) on the beach there. There are quite a few great places to eat. Carlitos was a real treat! You can order from the menu or ask him to serve you what he feels is the best in his kitchen that day. He's pricey and only takes cash, so be prepared, but the food was heavenly and the epicurean adventure was worth every peso! The restaurant at Rancho El Pescadero is situated in their vegetable garden. In addition to the offerings from their wood fire oven (meats, fish, pizzas) they serve these perfect, freshly picked from their garden veggies. They take credit cards and are in walking distance (if you're a walker) to Casablanca. Julie, Casablanca owner, is so easy to work with- timely responses, thoughtful, reliable, knowledgeable, available if you need her but giving you privacy otherwise, fun, and interesting...a wise innkeeper!"

  • Very pleasant place to stay

"Nice place to stay and admire surroundings (car necessary). It should be noted that rooms are not communicating with each other, so for families with very young children, it may be a bit scary to have to leave their children sleeping on their own (although there do not seem to be any issue with security). Many thanks to the owner!"
