  • Everything Anyone Could Possibly Need and More!

"We had a little bit of difficulty finding the house, but eventually we arrived upon a beautiful sight for sore eyes. The house is very roomy and the décor is very tastefully done. We found everything we could possibly need to cook just about any meal we might dream of. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, but the rooftop deck and palapa were undoubtedly our favorite area of rest and recuperation. The peace and quiet of this beach area is unique, especially when you notice the amazing mountains to the east and the endless expanse of ocean to the west. The stars were so clear at night that I saw for the first time in my life the actual figures various constellations are named after. I didn't know if I was hallucinating, but the stars seemed magnified and the images became clear to me in a stunning panorama of astronomical beauty and mystery. About the third day of our visit, the weather turned unseasonably warm and muggy due to thunder storms and rain. The humidity was pretty intense, but tolerable. We never resorted to the air-conditioning, but the fans did a fair job of keeping us cool. The roof was still the most comfortable place in the house. We didn't eat in many restaurants though we did visit Hierbabuena Restaurante in El Pescadero, which is an amazing dining experience, very much like the organic farm-to-table fare of the French Laundry in the Napa Valley, though more simple and rustic. I highly recommend it as a unique experience that will not be forgotten. We also enjoyed the casual ambience and food at La Esquina, very close to the house. Since there are no DVD's available at the house, we were able to rent a few DVD's from the little corner book store in town, which has a small but varied collection available to the public. The grounds of the property at Casa Las Olas are impeccably maintained, as is everything else about this wonderful home and neighborhood. We had no complaints and look forward to visiting there again."

  • Great trip

"We had the best time at this property. The condo was extremely clean and very tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed including cooking supplies, beach chairs, and boogie boards for the kids. I loved waking up to a beautiful ocean view every morning. The condo is in a quiet area that is away from all the craziness of the typical Cabo scene. The beach out front is great. My family and I had fun playing in the waves and surfing. We ventured out a few times and went into Todos Santos and drove up to some remote beaches in La Paz. There is a great restaurant in the condo resort and the best farm to table restaurant about 5 minutes up the road called Hierbabuena. The pool is absolutely fabulous. My kids loved the pool there. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation. I would definitely go back."

  • Great location and amenities

"My son and I were looking for accommodation close to Cerritos Beach at an affordable price. We were blown away by this great home, which is right on the beach. It was much larger than we needed and we loved the space - 2 bedrooms and bathrooms were terrific. There is also a large fully furnished loft that we didn't even spend time in. It was great lazing on the beach right outside our door and having the ability to come back to the property to make our own lunch. We also took advantage of the dipping pool. It was awesome - a nice way to cool off. The pool was actually bigger and deeper than we expected, nearly over my head. Two things to be aware of - no air conditioning, which I didn't think would be a big deal, but it was pretty hot to sleep. I think no a/c is due to the lack of electrical service at the beach - the house had solar panels and a generator. The resort next door to us also didn't have a/c so I assume everyone has the same issue. Also, the wall was back up and while we were aware of this, I felt a bit claustrophobic sitting on the patio enclosed by it. Sounds like this issue will be resolved soon. Great compliments to Frank, the caretaker, he was fantastic and took care of all our needs. We would definitely stay at Casas Cerritos again. For those unfamiliar with Cerritos Beach, it is a hidden gem to take your teenagers if they like to surf. There are surfboards to rent at the beach and lessons are available. My son got the hang of it after a day and spent hours in the water while we were there. Also, I highly recommend the snorkelling with seals tour out of La Paz. We decided to do this last minute and found it to be the highlight of our trip. La Paz is about an hour away."

  • Highly recommend!!!

"I had the absolute pleasure and good fortune to book a life changing 2 months stay in this beautiful casita during Feb and March 2014. The owners, Tori and Oscar, who also live on the property with the best dogs ever (Dante & Chico) went out of their way to not only make me feel unbelievably welcome, but took time to show me around, introduce me to their friends and the community, and generally make me feel like family. The property itself is exactly as the photos show, providing a safe, peaceful, retreat, though only a short distance from the town, with it's lively cafes, boutiques, galleries, and of course the stunning beach. I thoroughly recommend staying here, and can't wait to return next winter!"

Todos Santos Travel Tips

Getting to Todos Santos Vacation Rentals

Todos Santos is within easy driving distance of two international airports. The closest is La Paz International Airport which is an hour’s drive away. Flights operate frequently during the peak tourist times from most major hubs on the U.S. west coast. Many flights also route via Phoenix, Arizona. The second international airport is privately owned and has recently been completed renovated. It is located just outside of San Jose del Cabo and known simply as Los Cabos Airport. The airport upgrade included rebuilding the major access road as a toll road which has reduced the travel time by 20 minutes each way. Traveling time to Todos Santos is approximately an hour and a half. This airport is now the preferred airport used by most North American airlines. Regular commercial schedules operate throughout the year.

There is no rail link on the Baja California peninsula but a regularly scheduled bus service offers inexpensive public transport from Tijuana to Los Cabos. From there, you can hire a car to travel the remaining distance to Todos Santos or get a taxi which generally works out to be the more expensive option. Car rental is recommended as the best way to get around the area. Rental agencies are located at both international airports. Because of the warm climate, a vehicle with air conditioning is highly recommended. You will not need an all-terrain vehicle unless you plan to visit the nearby mountain regions. It’s also important to note that it’s essential to have Mexican auto insurance as part of your rental package.

Best Time of Year to Stay at Todos Santos Beach Houses

Todos Santos has a warm temperate climate at least nine months of the year. The area does not have a typical winter or summer season. Temperatures are often affected by the Pacific Ocean currents and fogs that blow in across the land. The hottest months of the year are August through to October and this is also when tropical storms are most likely to occur. This is therefore the low season for tourists. The rest of the year sees a steady stream of visitors.

Convenience of Staying at Todos Santos Resorts

Vacation rentals in Todos Santos offer an affordable accommodation option. Expansive beachfront villas, comfortable condos and homes are all generally well equipped and comfortably furnished. Most have multiple bedrooms and living areas which is perfect for large families or groups of friends. Catering for meal times is made easy with well equipped kitchens and outdoor barbecue facilities. Relax in style at your private Mexican villa and enjoy great sea views from your bedroom.

Visitors to Todos Santos

Todos Santos is a wonderful vacation destination that has something to offer for just about every kind of interest. Beach lovers come to enjoy the warm tropical climate and soak up the sun while surfers try their skills on the Pacific surf breaks. It’s important to check the surf conditions with the locals before heading out into the waves as there are strong currents in the area. Often unsuspecting swimmers are swept out to sea. Ensure that you surf where there are other people around so that if you do happen to get into trouble, they can assist you. Some visitors enjoy the undeveloped beaches which are perfect for sunset strolls and beachcombing. Others like to explore the arts and culture of the region and spend hours browsing the many galleries and markets. There are many resident artists in Todos Santos and many can be seen at work in their studios. In general, Todos Santos attracts those visitors that enjoy a relaxed holiday vibe and warm starry nights.
