  • A Perfect Getaway

"Casa Don Cardon was the perfect place for a relaxing week in Baja sunshine. The location is great, set on a hill so there's a view of the ocean, outside of town but an easy drive for groceries (Pino's is closest with a nice selection) and restaurants. The house is beautifully designed, modern and light with some bright Mexican colors. All basic needs are provided and the friendly owner, Rocco, is a great host. He lives nearby and cheerfully answered any questions. Anyone looking for quiet will love Don Cardon. All we could hear were ocean waves in the distance and birds in the mornings. There's wi-fi but no TV, no radio--a big plus. Mostly we hung out on the patio, read, and walked the beach. The gas range is terrific, so we cooked most meals but also ate at La Esquina Cafe, a local favorite. The food is very good, especially the tortilla soup and quesadillas, served on the shady patio. I highly recommend Casa Don Cardon. Thank you, Rocco"

  • Everything Anyone Could Possibly Need and More!

"We had a little bit of difficulty finding the house, but eventually we arrived upon a beautiful sight for sore eyes. The house is very roomy and the décor is very tastefully done. We found everything we could possibly need to cook just about any meal we might dream of. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, but the rooftop deck and palapa were undoubtedly our favorite area of rest and recuperation. The peace and quiet of this beach area is unique, especially when you notice the amazing mountains to the east and the endless expanse of ocean to the west. The stars were so clear at night that I saw for the first time in my life the actual figures various constellations are named after. I didn't know if I was hallucinating, but the stars seemed magnified and the images became clear to me in a stunning panorama of astronomical beauty and mystery. About the third day of our visit, the weather turned unseasonably warm and muggy due to thunder storms and rain. The humidity was pretty intense, but tolerable. We never resorted to the air-conditioning, but the fans did a fair job of keeping us cool. The roof was still the most comfortable place in the house. We didn't eat in many restaurants though we did visit Hierbabuena Restaurante in El Pescadero, which is an amazing dining experience, very much like the organic farm-to-table fare of the French Laundry in the Napa Valley, though more simple and rustic. I highly recommend it as a unique experience that will not be forgotten. We also enjoyed the casual ambience and food at La Esquina, very close to the house. Since there are no DVD's available at the house, we were able to rent a few DVD's from the little corner book store in town, which has a small but varied collection available to the public. The grounds of the property at Casa Las Olas are impeccably maintained, as is everything else about this wonderful home and neighborhood. We had no complaints and look forward to visiting there again."

  • Great house, great location!

"Casa De Vida is such a lovely place to stay. The house is so well set up, you immediately feel right at home. The house is very pretty, has beautiful landscaping, and so many great viewing decks for every time of the day. The hammocks under the outside palapa are dreamy! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach where you can see some great surfing, watch whales and take beautiful walks. We loved stopping at the El Nido cafe on our way back and having a bowl of their delicious fish chowder. This place is a real Gem!"

  • Felt like home for a week

"We stayed in Casita Tortuga - which has a master bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and AMAZING outdoor shower. Second bedroom downstairs has 2 twin beds. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We really loved the indoor/outdoor feel of it. Located just a short (5 ish minute) drive north of Todos Santos. It is even a shorter drive to the sweet surf spot, La Pastora. 5 minute walk to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but it is not recommended as a swimming beach because of currents. About a 15 minute drive to the swim and beginner surf spot, Los Cerritos. Kathy, the caretaker, is very kind and informative. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, blender, etc. There are several grocery stores nearby. The upper deck was great for reading in the hammock or a morning yoga sesh. The ground floor wrap around patio had a nice big dining table and a couple of really comfortable lounge chairs. WiFi was great. TV with a few English speaking stations. It was really nice to show up and they had stocked the house with 2 large bottles of drinking water. The surrounding area was really quiet - we rarely saw or heard anyone. The weather/temperature was perfect. It was hot a few days, but mostly warm (80s) with a little wind here and there to cool things off. Cool at night - enough for a hoodie. Only turned on AC one of the warmer nights but had to turn off in the middle of the night as it cooled off."
