  • FIRST CLASS IN ALL REGARDS

"We have been coming to Torotes since its creation some 14 years ago. We can NEVER get back soon enough. This place is absolute relaxation. From the fabulous little fishing village of La Ribera filled with all sorts of well stocked markets and warm locals, tiny eateries and tortillarias, to the burning hues in nearly every sunrise and sunset. This place holds plenty for all ages. The home is thoughtfully designed, tastefully furnished and has a great kitchen for cooking, many lounging and dining areas a stones throw from the Sea of Cortez and a large courtyard on the back side of the house planted with cheerful bougainvillea. At this retreat in La Ribera, one can be as connected or disconnected as they wish... The english speaking local property manager, as well as the owners are swiftly responsive and available to answer any question. This is THE vacation in "Cabo" or Baja one seeks but never gets. Free of obnoxious drunk tourists and big "all inclusive" hotels/resorts. Im telling you, this is the place, totally unspoiled!!!"

  • Beautiful Hotel-like Villa

"We booked rooms at one of the posh resorts for my daughter's wedding, but because of the hurricane, the resort wasn't sure if they would be opened in time. We searched VRBO and found this great Villa. What caught our attention was all the separate rooms with their own bathroom! When we inquired about the availability, the owners were very prompt n responding. We were also pleased to find out that they owned the next door house as well. With a group that was rapidly growing in numbers, we were able to book the 2 places together. In total we had 17 people. I had emailed Lori several times and each time she responded immediately with helpful information. She has directions, recommendations and information about Cabo that she emails. It put our mind at ease to be able to communicate so easily. The majority of the rooms are upstairs and 2 rooms are downstairs. Grandma stayed in the room downstairs which she loved! Having a centralized kitchen was also a bonus. It was stocked with a lot of glasses, dishes, serving dishes, bowls and cooking utensils. You don't need to bring anything. If you need groceries, The Mega store, which carries everything, is about 2 driving minutes away. The property manager is also available, if needed. The bedrooms were well appointed. Each had a clean, extremely comfortable bed, a lot of closet space and large showers. Each room had its own air conditioner with a remote. Everyone loved the idea that they were in a room with a separate entry. The pool and spa were awesome. It was clean and refreshing. I loved the waterfall that could be heard throughout the Villa. Especially when you open all the sliders (all had screens). The owners supplied plenty of beach towels, laundry soap, hand soap and cleaning supplies. There is also a large refrigerator that has filtered water (safe to drink!) for all the beverages. You can also drink water from the spicket at the sink. Because we used the pool so much, the washer and dryer came in handy. You can park cars in the driveway which has a large gate that can be locked. If security is a concern, no need to worry. The Villa is surrounded by a large fence and small gate that can be locked up and the security guards are always driving around on mopeds. I have raved about the Villa to everyone who asked how our trip was. I couldn't have found a better place to stay. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I go back to Cabo (unless it's next door)! Thank you Lori and Chris – you are the best!"

  • Perfect location!

"Quiet, great views and access to launch. Comfortable beds and hot water. Lots of room. Kiting at this end of the bay is much less crowded. The locking trailer on the beach for gear was also a great benefit."

  • Relaxing and Peaceful time

"I stayed in this lovely and very clean condo for a little less than a week. Although it has a very nice and comfortable bedroom, I really enjoyed sleeping on the balcony that has a large outdoor bed. I loved falling asleep to the stars and waking up to birds chirping and the sun gently waking me. Six people could very comfortably sleep here, we were only two. The condo was amazingly clean and well stocked. Everything worked well, lights, air conditioner, appliances, shower, sinks etc. The kitchen was well stocked, but I preferred eating out. I would take a lovely morning walk to a very friendly cafe nearby for my morning coffee and delicious breakfasts. I spent my afternoons at the beach or in the swimming pool, walking around the quaint town or sightseeing and shopping at nearby Loreto. My evenings were a mixture of eating locally or in Loreto. Loreto has a variety of restaurants with a multitude of cuisines. We were also able to walk to local wine bars. Although we rarely watched any TV, the satellite access was surprising. I had a very peaceful and relaxing get away and would definitely recommend this condo. Although I personally needed a relaxing time, renting a car would definitely allow you to experience nearby activities full of adventure."

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
