  • Best Cabo Experience Yet!

"I stayed in this villa for two weeks with some close friends; I stayed in the upper bedroom which had the best views. Then some other good friends came so I moved to the lower bedroom; which a also really liked... it has its own private bath, and is closes to the kitchen ( and cold beverages ) :) . The hot tub heats up in a snap and the pool ambiance is great. The surrounding views of the mountains, distant beaches, boats sailing, and beautiful nearby homes was so nice to gaze upon. We'd usually whip out our computers and get some work done in the mornings... wifi is better than my connection back here in the Seattle area and they even have a Vonage phone for making calls back to the states for free. In the evenings we'd make our way downtown for dinner and drinks... this place is close enough to the action.... but just far enough to feel "away from it all" . Can't wait to go back to Cabo again... I hope this place will be available then!"

  • Excellent Property and Ownership

"We rented both Casa Stephens and Casa Contessa across the street (both owned by the Stephens) for our wedding celebration with family. The property is absolutely amazing, and the location in Punta Ballena is spectacular. We've been to Cabo at least 10 times, and Casa Stephens was by far the best accommodation we've had. The whole transaction went very smoothly, and the Stephens family are trustworthy owners. The pictures and descriptions you see actually undersell the property. It is actually even better than what you see and imagine."

  • Amazing place!

"This was our second time in Loreto Bay. It is a magical place! This property is lovely, very well located, with everything you need for a home away from home. The only reason I'm not giving the property 5 stars is because the water was off several days due to construction in the neighborhood, and many of the casas nearby are being worked on since this is the slow season, so there was a lot of jackhammering and such. Neither of these things had anything to do with this casa, but it did affect our stay. With that said, we would absolutely rent this property again."

  • Awesome family getaway!

"This place was perfect for us and our 3 teens. Absolutely looks just like the pictures, and spot-on if you like quiet time without all the crowds at an all-inclusive. Since the hurricane last September, the surfing beach is blocked with construction, but the snorkeling beach was totally private and awesome. My husband was amazed at all the fish that he saw as he took the owners advice and fed them crackers out of a water bottle. The waves were a bit rough, so be very cautious if you are not a good swimmer. The tacos next to the swim up bar were great, and such a life-saver if you don't plan on cooking. We stayed and relaxed most of the time at the condo and took one trip to town to enjoy a snorkel cruise from the marina. It is easy to get a cab at the entrance for $20, then take the bus back for only 10 pesos each if you are able to walk the 1/2 mile back to the condo. What a bargain! The owner was great at answering all of my additional questions that I had, while supplying me with a packet loaded with tons of info about everything you need to know the moment you get to the airport. This made our stay completely enjoyable, and I could relax knowing that the condo manager was near the premises if we needed anything. She brought us a full propane bottle within minutes of our request! The only downer we had, was that my husband spent an entire afternoon stuck in the condo while we were at the pool because workers had to install a new modem that they said was only going to take a few minutes. They were friendly, but this was not something we expected during our short stay. We would definitely go back again, especially since it is undergoing constant improvements, the grounds are immaculate, the views are stunning, and the location away from it all is perfect!"

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
