  • Fabulous Vacation Spot!

"This villa exceeded our expectations. The living area is open and expansive- including a dining table that seats 12 comfortably! There are 5 bedrooms with beautiful attached baths, plus an extra room with a king sized bed. The rooms are large with nice beds and linens. The pool is on the small side, but adequate for a cool dip after sunning on a large patio with many lounge chairs. The views are wonderful, especially sunsets and the lights at night. The location of the villa is just north of San Jose in a nice development. San Jose has some very nice restaurants and do not miss Flora Farms, which is 5 min. from the villa. We used the Hotel Ganzo beach club one day. This is an underrated spot - a short drive to the hotel, then a boat ride across the lagoon to a secluded beach. The water is swimmable, they provide lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas. There did not seem to be a specific charge, but it is understood that you will spend money on food (delicious) and drinks (delivered by friendly staff to your lounge chairs!) A very enjoyable way to spend the day. If you enjoy golf, play the course, drinks and food are included- don't miss the fish sandwich. Hugo, the concierge, met us at the villa with cold beer and guacamole. He is a good resource and readily available. We would highly recommend this villa for a large group - we had 8 adults, and more family for impromptu dinners."

  • The View!

"Great place to stay. We had a wonderful time! My favorite part was sitting on the deck in the mornings watching the view of La Paz and the bay. So relaxing! Fernando is a very gracious host. The property is gated and very safe. I would recommend a car, it is a little drive out of downtown La Paz, but well worth the short drive. It is very peaceful and quiet. Sorry we were only there for a few nights."

  • Missiones Condo

"A variety of views from condo, all beautiful. Clean, peaceful, relaxing, well appointed. Gorgeous pools, able to swim laps, private beach, able to snorkel. Hiked beach several times into Cabo (start on hotel side of Missiones). Great exercise, able to: check out hotels on the beach, watch surfers, avoid or engage with merchants, swim in the ocean, rent glass bottom boats, water taxis, have massage on beach, watch beach weddings, whales... Bob, local point person, was johnny on the spot with info, assistance..."

  • Outstanding!

"We stayed at this beautiful unit at La Estancia in February. Can't say enough good things about it. As soon as we entered the place we were amazed at how gorgeous and updated the kitchen was. The granite countertops and new stainless appliances made cooking a pleasure. The living and dining areas were spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed - pots and pans, plates, glassware and utensils. The bedrooms were very nicely decorated and incredibly large. And don't get me started on the bathrooms and closet space! There were three full baths and the master bath was huge. The large closets in both bedrooms were a great benefit as there was no need to leave our luggage laying out. The balcony is really large and you can't tell from the pictures. We loved eating outside for all of our meals at the large table and the wet bar with fridge was perfect for mixing up drinks and storing beverages. The best part is the gorgeous view. We spent quite a bit of time on the balcony lying on the plush lounge chairs and even saw a few whales in the water. Incredible! Anither benefit of this hint and really any of the units at this resort is probably the fact that you are close to the pools. We were just an elevator ride away from them. Other resorts we found that we had quite a bit more of a trek. Also, this was nice bc we could see the older kids in the pool if we went up to our room. We were especially grateful that there were some buckets and shovels for our youngest to use on the beach and wave boards that the older kids could use. Honestly, that made the trip for the oldest kids. They had never rode waves before and it's what we ended up doing every afternoon. Robin was great to work with! Communication was a breeze and she even helped us line up transportation to and from airport when we booked which was one less thing to worry about. The transportation company picked us up in brand new Yukon XL or maybe is was a suburban. But it was a pleasant ride with lots of space and comfort. We've been to many other resorts but I can't imagine not returning to this one and Robin's unit in particular. It was paradise!"

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
