  • Magical Place

"We just spent a week at a truly remarkable property. The casita was very well equipped with everything one could need for a short or extended stay, had most importantly offered a very comfortable bed. The rest of the property is absolutely magical. From the casita we had a view towards the ocean, where we were gently awakened by the sunrise each morning. The rooftop patio on another building offered unparallelled sunset vistas, with both ocean and arroyo/mountain views. A perfect spot for a glass of wine after a tough day of lounging by the beautiful pool and hot tub. The wood fire BBQ was also a great spot to grill a steak while watching the sunset, or hanging out at the pool. We did manage to leave the property occasionally to explore the area. Great spot for a base, but just as great to simply enjoy the beauty of the grounds. The spring birds were making daily arrivals when we were there, each day bringing yet another new bird. The property management company were there daily to ensure that the pool and grounds were maintained, and everything was working to our satisfaction - they were very welcoming. The Wifi worked everywhere on the property, which was a real bonus to be able to do email by the pool! The arroyo is absolutely fascinating to watch, with always something to see, and the ever changing colors offer fantastic photo opportunities. The overall effect, is complete relaxation and a sense of tranquility. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer, and hope to return again soon."

  • Feels like home

"My husband and I have stayed here twice and love it. We will be going back this summer. The whole family is so nice. Josh will do whatever to make sure your stay is comfortable. Example: Due to a snow storm in Atlanta we HAD to delay our trip for a few days, so Josh loaned us a cooler, beach umbrella and beach towels so we could just chill on the beach. If you have a car you can find lots to do in the area. His wife, Patty is an excellent cook and dinner there is very special. Highly recommended. If you are up for an adventure you can find lots to do in the area."

  • Family of 9 reunion

"This was a perfect place for my 76 yo father, my 17 and 20 yo boys, and my 8 yo niece. I highly recommend the ATV trip along the coast (north bound) and just hanging out in the sea with a mask and snorkel. Along with the 3 kayaks, we brought our blow up SUP, so there was always plenty of toys. The pool is a plus. You MUST have water shoes (old sneakers were not optimal). The eve did bring Mosquitos so bring spray. August heat was difficult to tolerate in the main room, but we were so exhausted after dinner we just retired to our respective air conditioned bedrms. Norma kept our bellies happy and we always have leftovers for lunch. She and daughter Diane were very friendly and provided a great service. The nearby mercado had enough food (even romaine lettuce!) and stayed open late."

  • Heavenly spot with excellent views!

"We stayed here for spring break in April. We loved the space, the sound of the ocean and the views! The outdoor living room was gorgeous. Ian was an excellent host and went of the way to work with us. Highly recommend!"

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
