"Was here a year ago and now finishing another great stay at this fantastic condo in a great little fishing town. Stay a few days and spend some time fishing, wandering around the area and relaxing at the resort-you won't regret it!"

  • Astounding Relaxation and Fun

"I can't give enough accolades about this property to do it justice. The pictures are absolutely correct in that it's gorgeous, luxurious, splendid, amazing, etc. etc. We arrived on a Friday after following technically correct instructions (but we still got a little lost in the twists and turns anyway) to Chef Ericson who was passing out delicious margaritas. They were the best margaritas we have tasted (we all agreed!). We first took a tour of the main house. We were staying with our children, my sister, my parents, and my Grandparents. My family and my sister took the three bedrooms upstairs. The AC is controlled by only one of the rooms... so be sure you have a good relationship with whoever is staying in the room with the AC. :) My parents & Grandparents took the downstairs suites. Oh my goodness, their showers and bathrooms were amazing! They loved it. The Amazing - Ericson!! You MUST hire her and have her cook a few meals for you. The same price gets you dinner + lunch or breakfast. Being served drinks, appetizers, food, dessert, and doing all the dishes... is SERIOUSLY AMAZING. Plus, Ericson is one of the best, most kind-hearted person you have ever met. The Bad - The coffee pot takes forever! (Isn't it awesome that the worst part of the review is that the coffee pot takes forever? We actually forgot to tell Greg that so, hi Greg! Maybe invest in a new coffee pot! LOL) My Grandpa would get up at 6am every morning and pour in 8 cups of coffee and after a half hour, maybe 3 cups would come out. We couldn't figure out if it was the setting, or if it was evaporating.. Anyway.) The kitchen could use a few random things to help if you cook at home but honestly you just ask Ericson and she disappears and reappears with it (like I wanted a cheese grater!) after going to the main kitchen at the next door house. When we had a few problems, we just emailed Greg. In some instances, he showed up within 10 minutes! My Mom's AC was loud one night so they came over and visited and replaced some stuff. We couldn't get the Jacuzzi working after the first night so he labeled a few of the buttons and voila, it's perfect. Say hi to the cute little iguana who lives around it, he's always there! If you have knee problems, you may want to bring your cane for getting up and down the stairs. I'm running out of room in this review... Best place ever! Check out Buzzards down the street. Rent an ATV. Visit the bird estuary. Bring bug spray. Cheers!"

  • Awesome house, great location and great price!

"I stayed in Casa Mario a month ago with 8 of my girlfriends. We were considering staying in a hotel, but I'm glad we didn't! The house is big enough for a family of a big group of friends. We enjoyed having the pool for ourselves and we were able to walk to the Marina and some other places where restaurants and bars are. The house is right next to Nikki Beach and just a few blocks from other beach clubs and beach restaurants like Mango Deck and The Office. Close enough to walk, yet far enough that is nice and quiet. Tim, the owner, was great! He gave us a lot of recommendations on restaurants and things to do and he really keeps the house in great shape, with all the necessary amenities (including Wi-Fi and AC). A really nice cleaning lady came to clean the house everyday too. In general, Casa Mario was much better than staying in a hotel! Great for young people looking to have fun, but also great for families that are looking for convenience and easy access to the beach."

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
