  • Simply Outstanding

"We spent 2 weeks at the Marina Cabo Plaza and it was absolutely idyllic. The unit is very spacious (compared to other units we viewed). The key feature for us was the balcony. We like to spend as much time as possible outdoors and the balcony was our home early in the AM as well as for post-beach cocktails. We were travelling with 2 other couples and were all staying in the Marina Cabo Plaza. The unit was large enough for us to gather, prepare dinner on the barbeque and all eat together on the balcony. There is plenty of closet and storage space so we weren't tripping on suitcases all the time. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are somewhat flat. The air conditioner worked very well and was not noisy. Preparing meals on the barbeque was fine and the 2 burner hotplate provided adequate backup for cooking vegetables and making rice. A trip to Walmart provided the groceries we needed for our occasional "eat-in" meals and cost $10US each way for a cab. The unit is up a flight of stairs which is secured by a locking gate. You must remember to take a key with you to get out of the stairway, but this extra level of security is welcome. Working with Nancy (the owner) was a treat! In addition to making our transactions very smooth, she also helped our friends find another unit in the same facility so that we could all vacation together. We loved spending time on the quiet end of Medano Beach...just a couple blocks from the front door. You can rent umbrellas there and enjoy quiet time on the beach without the steady stream of vendors. (visit the little shack at the entrance to the beach - "Blue Umbrella Activities"). The condo comes complete with 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs. Medano Beach is one of the nicest beaches we have seen anywhere in the world. The sand is not powder fine but is certainly not too grainy. There are no rocks, coral or seaweed....just pristine, clear water. Some people complain about the sellers on the marina, but we treated them with respect, politely said no gracias, and within a couple days they became our "friends" and addressed us by name. Be kind and polite to them and just enjoy being addressed as Amiga and Amigo. We fell in love with this place so quickly that we rebooked for next year on our 2nd day of vacation. The condo is not brand new - no granite and stainless steel showpiece, but it is comfortable, very well equipped, in an outstanding location and is truly a piece of paradise."

  • Oasis in Cabo

"We recently stayed in this beautiful estate home with amazing views of the Sea of Cortez and easy access to the private beach. Condition of the home was immaculate - including very spacious eating and entertainment areas, a lovely master bedroom, and four casitas - each with their own bathroom - surrounded by a quaint courtyard. Gardens were gorgeous and the infinity pool was perfect. One of our best trips to Cabo in years. Owner is easy to deal with and the concierge had the home ready for our visit. No way to make our stay in this home more perfect."

  • Casa Amarilla could also be called Casa Suenos!!

"What a dream come true, we absolutely love Casa Amarilla! This was our second stay and we can't wait to return. It is the perfect getaway for rest and relaxation but town is also a close enough drive to enjoy cultural events and dining out in Todos Santos. The kitchen is well stock with all the essential amenities so you can enjoy all the local fish and fresh produce in your casita too. It is very clean and tastefully decorated with lots of privacy. The beach is just steps out your front door.. this is our favorite go to place!!"

  • Great Getaway

"We just got back from spending a fantastic week away from everything. We are a family that works together, so finding some down time was essential. The cassita provided a quiet, private space for us, and with La Paz being so close, we were able to immerse ourselves in a true Mexican experience. The Malecon is great and we also really loved Tecolate. The property is fully equipped with everything you need, and Dhorea is a super hostess. Would highly recommend!"

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
