  • Mira Vista vacation

"To be honest, I never had any desire to go to Mexico, but my daughter, my companion for this trip, has spent time in San Lucas and liked the area. We were seeking something a bit more laid back than party town, however, and thought San Jose would be perfect. I tell you this cause I searched 'blind,' as it was. I have never booked on VRBO or Homeaway, and was a bit leery of the process. We couldn't have been more pleased. From the time the owner Mike met us at the gate til the handyman Leon booked us a cab for our return to the airport, nothing went wrong! You've read the previous accolades, so ditto for us. We did a lot of walking (by choice), and I would like to see a better sidewalk up the highway - a bit scary at night! But that has nothing to do with the condo, unless all the complexes at this end of the beach could petition the town. All in all, a great time for two age groups!"

  • Excellent in all ways.

"We were 5 families with 20 people aged 3-73 and stayed at El Rincon over the 2014 Christmas holidays and everybody absolutely loved it with something there for everybody. The on-site manager Manuel and his crew were extremely helpful and friendly (and good at soccer...) supplying everything we needed - including a late night emergency trip in to San Jose for the littlest one to a very high quality hospital. The house itself is very well designed with the kitchen/dining/hanging out areas separate from the sleeping areas. The various toys for us to enjoy were all in very good shape (the ATV's were a huge hit with the preteen and teen crowd, with the SUPs, kayaks and tennis court popular with the adults) and the pool/spa was a very comfortable place for lounging in the sun. It was a very easy drive to get to Cabo Pulmo, La Ribera or Los Barilles for some village life - although some of us were very happy to not have to leave the house. One of the biggest surprises was the quality of the snorkelling and spear fishing right in front of the house - shallow clear waters with many different fish, rays and eels - and on the calm days it was easy access for everybody. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and I would heartily recommend El Rincon to anyone."

  • Excellent Quite Location Close to Town

"My husband and spent our first week at an all inclusive resort closer to San Jose Del Cabo and after much drinking and eating.......oh and did I mention drinking, we wanted to spend a quiet week alone together at a Condo that was close enough to town to walk to. Well Terrasol fit the bill. Although we rarely left the condo, the few times that we did, it was only a 5 minute walk to the Marina and wonderful restaurants. My husband and I travel the world and it doesn't matter how amazing the accommodations I book for us, it usually takes a few hours for him to adjust, but the minute he walked into this lovely Terrasol Condo, I could hear him saying that he loved it this place. We did most of our own cooking. The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals (minus a strainer for pasta). The Walmart was a 5 minute, $14 each way Taxi ride from the condo. The Taxis are right outside the gate so no problem grabbing a taxi at anytime. The Walmart has most everything you need, but you may need to be a little creative. For instance no sweet pickles for Potato Salad, but pickle relish worked in a pinch. We did venture out to the pool bar and restaurant a couple of times. Everything was good and inexpensive. We were there during the World Skim Boarding Competition so it was fun to watch from the restaurant area. The service from the staff, front desk to the restaurant/bar and even to the groundskeepers was excellent. When we brought our groceries back to the condo, the groundskeeper came running up with his wheelbarrow and carried all of our groceries to the condo for us. My husband didn't want to go here because the pictures on their website make it appear as if there is nobody ever at the pool, but there are more people then it appears. Still have more of the World we want to visit, but we will definitely be back as soon as possible. P.S. When and if you get tired of eating Mexican food, Salvatore's has great Italian Food."

  • Perfect Condo, Puerta del Sol VRBO Great Venue for booking large family reunion

"We had a wonderful time at your truly, "Casa Bella". The amenities (gorgeous, private pool area, beautiful beach and luxuriously appointed condo) were super and it was perfect for our family and convenient for every purpose. We booked this unit through VRBO along with several others as part of a larger 53 person family reunion since my niece owns a home in Cabo del Sol. The other condos were equally well appointed and within walking distance of the home, the beach and the Sheraton and Fiesta Americana so people had many options. It is also centrally located on the corridor so there were only quick drives to San Jose or San Lucas and all of the beautiful snorkel beaches and surf breaks between. We also enjoyed the outstanding and convenient Sunday brunch at the Cabo del Sol Club House. To quote one of my cousins on the 53 member reunion, "I remember the warmth of the desert winds, skies full of stars, happy homes, full of song and laughter and cheer, dusty caravans to remote and beautiful beaches, and a loving and vibrant family." Needless to say any more! The trip exceeded our expectations and I would highly endorse your beautiful condo and Puerta/Cabo del Sol as the perfect spot on the corridor for family enjoyment in Cabo! We look forward to returning!"

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
