  • Everything you need!

"Originally, I had rented the "Treetops" property owned by June. But since Beachtops was available, she gave us a tour of it so we could decide where to stay. Both properties are very nice but we ultimately decided to stay at Beachtops because it was on the beach. The villa has everything you need. A/C, washer and dryer, hair dryer, unlimited towels, blender, etc. June is very personable and genuine. We had a great stay. I hope we can stay at one of the properties again."

  • Fabulous Home!

"We were looking for a home that would hold our family for our daughters wedding at Waterxolor. This house was Exactly what we were looking for. It had everything we needed and was large enough for several friends and family to stay. The carriage house was also perfect. My daughter and her 6 bridesmaids got ready in the master suite for the wedding. There was plenty of room. Would highly recommend. It even had Bikes waiting for us! Loved it!!!"

  • Wonderful week at El Presidente

"Unit 301 is a very beautiful and large unit. My family, (4 adults and 2 children) stayed the first week of August. El Presidente is well maintained, with a lovely pool at the front of the condo with access to gorgeous Siesta Key. There are plenty of lounges around the pool as well as on the beach. In addition, there is a tennis court at the back. We appreciated the updated kitchen which was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. There are two balconies with sliding glass doors - one overlooking the tennis court and the other looking out towards the beach. The washer and drier were replaced while we were there (the drier wasn't working). We only had to report it to the office and it was dealt with immediately. Thank you, Anne, for looking after El Presidente's guests and maintenance of the property so well. (She also lent us tennis raquets from the office). The condo had a nice large beach umbrella and beach chairs, and beach towels were provided. The sunroom was great as it gave some privacy for the adults while the kids watched t.v. in the living room. It was also a great room to have breakfast and a morning coffee. We have been to Siesta Key many times, renting various condos along the beach. This one was the nicest we have ever rented! We really hated to leave."

  • very quiet, relaxing vacation

"Amazing views, very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful lake. Owner is accommodating and easy to communicate. Only one thing to keep in mind- you need a good GPS and preferably SUV for the last 1.5 mile. Would love to come back!"

Nayarit Travel Tips

The Riviera Nayarit of Mexico Provides Affordable Resorts

Nayarit is one of Mexico’s 31 states, near the central section of the west coast. It borders the Pacific Ocean, making it one of Mexico’s secret destinations. In the last decade, Nayarit has become more popular, as Puerto Vallarta becomes more and more crowded. Nayarit is also known as one of the more accommodating states for gringos. There are numerous towns you might wish to take Nayarit Mexico vacation rentals in. These cities include Tepic, Ixtlan del Rio, Xalisco, Tuxpan, Santiago Ixcuintla, and Sanata Maria del Oro. Perhaps the most sought-after spot is Rincon de Guayabitos vacation rentals for its location and specialties. Guayabitos is 60 miles from Puerto Vallarta’s airport and located on the beach.

Nayarit, Mexico Resorts Versus Vacation Rentals

One often believes a resort has everything one could want on a vacation and for many people, they do. Resorts like the Nayarit, Mexico resorts will offer you spa treatments, concierge services, maid service, hotel restaurants, and luxury guest rooms. Resorts are wonderful if that is what you desire but consider instead Nayarit, Mexico vacation rentals. Vacation rentals offer you a personal touch to your stay, with a kitchen, more privacy, and often a pool or Jacuzzi all to yourself. In Nayarit, Mexico, you can find luxury accommodations for less when you use vacation rentals.

Climate and Environment Yield Adventure

Nayarit is a state full of miles of rainforest. Everywhere you look, you will discover verdant forests with lush plant life. You may even find, as you look out the window at Nayarit, Mexico resorts, that you see different plant species than on your hike through the forest the previous day. It is imperative that you explore the forests with a guide either by hiking or 4x4 rides. Your guide can offer you a canopy tour where it might be possible to see jaguars, mountain lions, wild bears, deer, caymans, and several bird species. Conservation is imperative to this tropical clime and taken very seriously by Mexico and its residents. In summer, one can expect many sunny days, with afternoon rainfalls making it easy to have adventures in the morning and a siesta in the afternoon.

More Than the Shore with Nayarit, Mexico Travel

So far, the shore has only been mentioned in reference to Nayarit, Mexico travel. However, there is much more to this state than the Pacific Ocean and its delights. Being able to see whales traveling north or south is just one amazing option while on the coast, yet Nayarit also has inland forest areas with numerous mountain peaks you might wish to enjoy. From these mountain tops, you can look out over Mexico, at the forests, and even take a canopy tour from one high rise to another.

Cervezas and Palapa Bars Await the Mexico Traveler

If nothing but surfing and scuba diving are your pleasures, then the Palapa Bars and waiting cervezas will add to your trip. Along the coastal towns are numerous little bars serving cold beers and delightful local cuisine. The bars are not directly on the beach as local law forbids alcohol on the beaches, yet you can still enjoy a great drink and entertainment in the bars and restaurants nearby. Many tourists head to the bars and nightclubs to watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

Historical Remnants of Nayarit and its Many Locales

Nayarit is a very old state, with remains dating to 5000 B.C. The first civilization was created in Cora beginning in 400 A.D. but even before this, humans walked along the lands. Cora reached is height in 1200 A.D., relying on agriculture to survive. Despite ending its popularity and even its formation as a town in 1200 A.D., many people in the region today can date their family ancestry to Cora. The years changed in Nayarit with civilizations advancing, and in 1523, Hernan Cortes arrived, being followed five years later by de Guzman.

Leadership of Nayarit passed through many hands, even in the more recent history of the 19th century. National politics have always been conflicted, enough to cause wars throughout time. In early 1930 and up until the latter part of the 20th century, the Institutional Revolutionary Party maintained control. When one visits Nayarit and its cities, there are churches, buildings, and museums to learn the local history from.
