  • Beatiful House

"The House is beautiful, you feel like being in your own home. San Miguel is a Small City so you can go anywhere without having to drive. The owners and Juanita are always open to help you at anytime."

  • Everything you could want

"This was our second time staying in a house in San Miguel. This one tops the others we have seen. Downstairs it has a comfortable sitting area, a large dining table which was also our card table at night, and a kitchen which is well stocked. The beds are all very comfortable, and the bedrooms all have individual TVs and baths. The laundry room is very modern with whatever you need. There is a nice sitting area both inside and out of the master BR. The best thing is having the elevator. In the morning one of the four of us would set up for coffee and sweet rolls and would take everything up to the top deck in the elevator. We would enjoy the beautiful views of San Miguel with our coffee to start the day. There are places on the top deck to lounge or read, or dine. There is a large coffee maker and toaster/oven, etc. The area the home is in is a very safe one with good neighbors. It is located very well to get into town, or to go for a good meal at the Institute or to grab a bus or a taxi. We would highly recommend it. The owners are very easy to work with, and the management company quickly answers any calls and goes out of their way to solve any problems."

  • Casa De Las Divas - Best Hidden Secret of SMA

"San Miguel’s best hidden secret is Casa De Las Divas! I had the most wonderful 9 day stay in the Upper Casita. It is beautifully decorated with colorful artifacts reflecting the cultural arts of Mexico. And, don’t miss the historical boveda brick ceilings in the Upper Casita. Being setback in the patio area was most serene and quiet, along with the beautiful views of the courtyard. But a more breathtaking view of San Miguel was from the garden rooftop terrace, a surround-vista of history. The casita is located in the best Centro location! It is so convenient walking to the Jardin, Parroquia, Artesanias Mercado and so much more. But most of all, the hospitality of Melissa, the owner, was wonderful! She was so helpful with suggestions from restaurants, shopping to the best bakery in town. And so accommodating by providing a water cooler for your convenience. Plus, free long distance calls to US and wifi. Melissa is the perfect host, thinking of her guests comfort and stress-free stay. She made my first visit to San Miguel a memorable one. I’m definitely returning to my casita – soon. Thank you Melissa ~"

  • Spacious, comfortable, great location!

"I stayed at Casa Christina with some friends for two weeks in April. We all had a great time there. The home is well-represented by the photos. The three bedrooms (including the casita on the lower level) are comfy and nicely-separated so you don't feel cramped and can have some privacy if you wish. The kitchen is well-equipped and the outside courtyard/terraces are great for dining and just hanging out. The original owner's art collection is a great addition to the ambiance. Maria, the housekeeper, was terrific - you MUST opt for the breakfast option and enjoy her huevos rancheros and salsa fresca. (We had a couple of plumbing issues, but Maria and the local management company resolved those quickly.) The home is located in a residential area a little away from the center of town, but it's quiet and only about a 15-minute walk to the Jardin and two blocks from the Instituto Allende. This is an older home with an authentic Mexican feel. Don't expect the Rosewood Hotel, but we found it to be a really good value for the price, size and location."

Getting to Central Mexico Vacation Houses

The main access point to the central region of Mexico is through the capital Mexico City. The Benito Juarez International Airport is located in Mexico City. It is one of Central America’s busiest airports and its expansion has only been hampered by the fact that it is surrounded by residential and commercial property. A secondary airport is the Toluca airport which handles domestic and private charter flights. The Mexico City Airport hosts most major North and South American carriers. There are regularly scheduled flights that operate daily between Mexico City and destinations such as Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas and Dallas. If traveling from other parts of the United States or Canada, you can route via any one of these major hubs. A bus terminal located outside the airport provides public transportation to other parts of Mexico City. If you plan to explore further afield, it may be a good idea to hire a car for the duration of your stay.
