Overview of Distrito Federal Vacation Rentals

Traveling to Distrito Federal Vacation Rentals

Distrito Federal is the region that encompasses Mexico City and its surroundings. It is home to one of Mexico's busiest airport, the Benito Juarez International Airport. The airport hosts regional and international airlines from the United States and Canada, as well as from other Central and South American countries. There are also several weekly flights that operate from Europe. If traveling from the United States, you should easily be able to find a direct flight from most major cities to Mexico City. To get to your rental from the airport, the most convenient way is to travel by taxi.

Alternatively, if you are traveling light and looking for an inexpensive way to get around, you can make use of the local Metro which is the city's subway system. One nice feature of the subways is that the first two cars are reserved for women and children. This means that if you are traveling alone as a woman, you can be assured of a greater level of safety when moving around the city. If, however, you are traveling with your spouse or a male companion, you can use any other car. A second airport is located in Toluca which is a city located approximately 50 kilometers southwest of Mexico City. The Licenciado Adolfo Lopez Mateos International Airport is the major hub in Mexico from which several low-cost airlines operate. The only drawback of the airport is that it has no public transport links. The only way you can get there is by taxi or car rental.

It is a part of the city where can see diverse architectural styles that span the centuries. There are several beautiful buildings in the Historic District which include the Pallacio de Bellas Artes and the Catedral Metropolitano. Just outside of Mexico City, you can visit one of the region's most famous landmarks, the Basilica de Guadalupe. The building has been beautifully preserved and provides some valuable insight into the local customs and traditions. There are many museums and art galleries in the Distrito Federal, and you can spend hours browsing through them. There are also many colorful markets and boutique stores where you can enjoy some shopping.
