  • Loved it!

"We recently stayed in Casita Lirio in Cinco Flores. My family of 3 had a wonderful first visit to San Miguel and a wonderful time at Cinco Flores! Casita Lirio was perfect in every way: it was very pretty; it was well maintained, decorated, supplied, and appointed; and it was comfortable, peaceful, and close to the square (the main center of everything). The patio was beautiful. We had such a short walk to the restaurants, shops, and square – it was great! We worked mainly with Robert. He was very prompt, quite helpful, and professional in all of our communications. I can’t think of any ‘extras’ that are needed or desired. We would definitely stay at Cinco Flores again! :)"

  • wonderful house!

"We have stayed in other parts of the city and this is a great location if you don't mind a short walk uphill from town center. It is easy to go down for evening events and ice cream! It is very well equipped in the kitchen, and has comfortable beds and other furniture. The manager was very helpful and a good spanish school is right next door. We had several guests and it worked well for all of us. We will come back very soon!"

  • More than expected

"The house was only on a high hill overlooking the city. The view is as everyone described. The owner has taken time to decorate the house with a flavor of old Mexico and it felt as if you had stepped back in time but with all the modern conveniences. The most wonderful part of the house was Juana who gave us Spanish lessons and made us feel welcome."

  • Awesome VIEW, Best Location & Value for the Price!

"We stayed for 3 months from Feb 1st - May 30th, 2014, & it's certainly an experience that we'll never forget! Waking in the morning & sitting on the balcony with our tea & coffee as the Hummingbirds on our balcony put on a show for us, was absolutely wonderful! Looking out of the floor to ceiling windows in the living room, the whole town is spread out before you - the view (to the west) is enchanting. Every sunset was different & in the evening the skies were illuminated by thousands of crystalline lights as the sounds of the city drifted upwards to our ears. Giant Great Egrets flew by us in the mornings almost within reach, as they made their way to the Presa. We counted 41 different species of Birds that we saw from our balcony or the Roof-Top. The condo is comfortable, clean & very Mexican in character, with a sunken living room & a kitchen that was out-fitted much better than our own is back-home! Sunlight streams in through skylights that are strategically placed in all-the-right places through-out the condo, giving the place a bright & cheery feel. The bed was cosy & comfy as well! We would be there still if we had not found a full-time rental! The photos really do show the place as-it-is. And what is really great, is that it's not even a 5 minute walk to the Jardin! You just can't lose on this one! It's a perfect little Gem!"

Dolores Hidalgo Travel Tips

Dolores Hidalgo Vacation Rentals

Dolores Hidalgo is situated near the city of Guadalajara in Mexico. Dolores Hidalgo is known for its rich history as the city where Mexico's struggle for independence from Spanish rule began (and continued until 1824). Because of its rich history, Dolores Hidalgo is a colonial city, where visitors to the area are first greeted by a huge statue representing the heroes that fought for the country's independence. The city is also known for its ceramics and plenty of fun and activities in and around the city's main plaza.

Whether you're heading to Dolores Hidalgo for a romantic getaway or on a family vacation, Dolores Hidalgo vacation rentals offer you a home away from home experience. Vacation rental property styles range from condominiums to Dolores Hidalgo villas. Especially for extended stays, vacation rentals provide the comfort and convenience of amenities such as kitchens, living areas, private bedrooms and more space than you'll find in a hotel room.

Living Like the Locals in a Guanajuato Accommodation

The small town atmosphere of Dolores Hidalgo allows most visitors to feel as if they are part of the community. While spending your vacation in a hotel surrounds you with other visitors to the area, staying in a Gunajuato accommodation, such as Dolores Hidalgo villas, surrounds you with the locals, which means you are truly immersing yourself in the culture of Dolores Hidalgo. Whether you choose to meet your neighbors or keep to yourself, a private Dolores Hidalgo vacation rental gives you the option and the space to entertain your family or relax in comfort.

Delores Hidalgo Vacation Rental Activities

Wander down the streets that lead to the main plaza from the front door of your Dolores Hidalgo vacation rental. View the decorative ceramics, Talavera ceramic pieces, the area is famous for in the ceramic shops or tour one of the ceramic factories. The other item that Delores Hidalgo is famous for is its ice cream, so you'll find ice cream stands on all four corners of the main plaza. In addition to serving traditional ice cream flavors such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, Dolores Hidalgo serves up scoops of less common flavors such as avocado, shrimp and tequila flavors.
