  • nice house and great location

"As other reviewers have mentioned , Location was great, but was noisy at night for the 2 front bedrooms. earplugs and closing the inner heavy wooden panels behind the front windows wasn't sufficient to muffle the street noise. This may be okay for you if you currently live in a noisy inner city situation. Propane gas ran out and ground floor toilet stopped working. house manager came promptly to fix. We did appreciate having 3 separate bathrooms for a group of 7. mattresses on bed were comfy. living room and dining room furniture in good condition. TV worked well. Internet speed was fine."

  • Beautiful Villa Blanca

"My husband and I had a lovely three weeks in San Miguel. Staying at the Villa Blanca contributed enormously to our pleasure. It is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and inviting. We spent hours relaxing and reading and enjoying the pleasure of being in the beautiful house or on the lush terraces. We loved all the thoughtful touches -- the beautiful stone walls, the exterior moldings, the thoughtful and well chosen art. It was a visual feast but not a feast that leads to indigestion -- just to pleasure and more discovery of other interesting places to rest our eyes. Staying at the Villa Blanca greatly enhanced our enjoyment of our visit to San Miguel."

  • THE MAGICAL CASA LA RUINA

"Our family from Canada and the U.S. united at Casa LaRuina. Each had beautiful art-filled private accommodations and came together each day in the lush patios and roof-top gardens of the house for drinks and meals. The casa was a perfect base from which to explore the many restaurants, gardens, art galleries and music, or just stroll through the streets of the magical city of San Miguel Allende."

  • Wandering, Rest, Relaxation

"I spent the first few days with a close friend and the remainder of the time with myself. The rooftop is the perfect spot for sunrises and sunsets and the house is just lovely and the house is comfortable in clean. I loved the location once I acquainted myself with the best routes to get where I wanted to be and enjoyed the stroll to nearby restaurants, the park, and Centro. While there are a ton of boutique hotels here, having my own kitchen, washer, and private patio was perfect for me, especially if you want to enjoy the delicious findings at the market to prepare your own food! The house manager was very helpful and all transactions were super easy. I highly recommenf San Miguel de Allende and this property."

Dolores Hidalgo Travel Tips

Dolores Hidalgo Vacation Rentals

Dolores Hidalgo is situated near the city of Guadalajara in Mexico. Dolores Hidalgo is known for its rich history as the city where Mexico's struggle for independence from Spanish rule began (and continued until 1824). Because of its rich history, Dolores Hidalgo is a colonial city, where visitors to the area are first greeted by a huge statue representing the heroes that fought for the country's independence. The city is also known for its ceramics and plenty of fun and activities in and around the city's main plaza.

Whether you're heading to Dolores Hidalgo for a romantic getaway or on a family vacation, Dolores Hidalgo vacation rentals offer you a home away from home experience. Vacation rental property styles range from condominiums to Dolores Hidalgo villas. Especially for extended stays, vacation rentals provide the comfort and convenience of amenities such as kitchens, living areas, private bedrooms and more space than you'll find in a hotel room.

Living Like the Locals in a Guanajuato Accommodation

The small town atmosphere of Dolores Hidalgo allows most visitors to feel as if they are part of the community. While spending your vacation in a hotel surrounds you with other visitors to the area, staying in a Gunajuato accommodation, such as Dolores Hidalgo villas, surrounds you with the locals, which means you are truly immersing yourself in the culture of Dolores Hidalgo. Whether you choose to meet your neighbors or keep to yourself, a private Dolores Hidalgo vacation rental gives you the option and the space to entertain your family or relax in comfort.

Delores Hidalgo Vacation Rental Activities

Wander down the streets that lead to the main plaza from the front door of your Dolores Hidalgo vacation rental. View the decorative ceramics, Talavera ceramic pieces, the area is famous for in the ceramic shops or tour one of the ceramic factories. The other item that Delores Hidalgo is famous for is its ice cream, so you'll find ice cream stands on all four corners of the main plaza. In addition to serving traditional ice cream flavors such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, Dolores Hidalgo serves up scoops of less common flavors such as avocado, shrimp and tequila flavors.
