"Casa Caracol is a terrific place - in fact perfect for us. We were two couples traveling together and there was plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms are separated enough that there is plenty of privacy. The kitchen is well equipped - we made breakfast most days and made snacks in the afternoons and we had sufficient kitchen equipment and dishware with no trouble. We did not cook full meals, but we easily could have. Purified water is supplied, which is nice.
The list of amenities is long and added up really make the experience of staying here special. They include:
-good wifi throughout
-beautiful terrace with table, chairs, and hammock
-fully loaded iPod and speakers for music
-UNLIMITED hot water - great for four people staying together!
-lists of ideas for restaurants and activities
-grocery store and fresh fruit and vegetable market nearby
-very close to main square
I highly recommend Casa Caracol! We will stay there again on our next trip to Guanajuato!"

"My wife and I just returned from a wonderful week in Guanajuato. Thanks to Gerardo's beautiful apartment we spent a magical week exploring this beautiful city. The walk from the apartment to town via Temescuitate was something we enjoyed immensely and were able to accomplish at our age without problems (wife=69; me=71) Gerardo's apartment complex is very secure and very quiet. We visited the city during a very festive Christmas/New Year's season, yet we never were bothered by the noise of the celebrations taking place. We look forward to returning some day and definitely recommend this clean and quiet location."

"When I decided to rent casa del limon I was in a hurry and had my reserves. I wanted a safe property very close to el jardin de la union and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The pictures on VRBO are good but nowhere near as beautiful as the property. The different sections of the terraza are and the views are breathtaking. I invited my friends over for a get together and they were all asking how I found the property...honestly, I wanted to be a little selfish because I want this house when I go back.
Another review talks about the outdoor restroom as a drawback, I look at it as an adventure and part of the charm of such a gorgeous property. Let me just say a month was not enough to enjoy this beauty.
If you are familiar with Guanajuato you will appreciate the how close it is to el jardin de la union and that it is only a few stairs uphill to get to the house. The kitchen is fully equipped! There were a couple of things but it has to do more with management than with the property is that there was no drinking water when I arrived and I was not informed of where to place the trash, but these small issues were not enough to take away a full star."

"Our family loved the house. It was so cute and cozy. The view from the rooftop was fabulous. I even loved using the laundry room up there :) The beds and furnishings were all excellent quality. The house is located just on the edge of town - with a totally doable walk, even for our young kids - and a bit out of center of town noise. There is a stretch of stairs (maybe 5 or so) that are open on one side. Our 3.5 year old was fine on them, but it might need some consideration for younger ones."
