"I and my husband both loved our stay. The terrace was a magical place to do yoga at sunset. The kitchen was well stocked and user-friendly and the atrium was a beautiful space to enjoy our home-cooked meals. We found lots of fresh product within easy walking distance. We were pleased to have Andrea meet us at the place when we arrived at 9pm. She gave us a map and helped us get oriented. I would highly recommend staying here."

"My 5 y/o daughter and I visited San Miguel de Allende for the first time in April, arriving just after the Easter celebrations that are so colorful. Our week long stay was fantastic and incredibly memorable for layers of reasons. Meeting Marlene, the owner of our apartment, and enjoying a couple delicious comidas at her place with her lively friends coupled with our action packed days full of the simple pleasures of exploring SM to excursions outside of town we couldn't have asked for more. And when we were just getting started it was time to leave!
Here's how I would promote a trip to San Miguel de Allende:
Take me to San Miguel de Allende!
Experience arts, culture, and world class cuisine in the well preserved, colonial-era, and simply gorgeous San Miguel de Allende. Stay in a fully outfitted private apartment (part of a 350 year old original home) in the historic center of town, located just one block from the famous Jardin and main plaza. Walk to all the sights, museums, parks, and fabulous restaurants and allow yourself to absorb the rich spirit of central Mexico. Live a little and visit a nearby ranch for some horseback riding, rise above it all in a hot air balloon, and then soak your muscles at local hot springs, and maybe grab a bite at Nirvana.
The easy 2 hour flight from LA to Leon and simple shuttle connection to SMdeA makes this gem of a destination even better!"

"A group of adults (siblings and their spouses) spent two weeks at Casa Madelan in January 2015. This was our first visit to San Miguel and we were delighted. It was warm and sunny during the day, though cooler at night. I agree with all the comments of others about Casa Madeleine. It is a lovely house, very comfortable, and quickly comes to feel like "home". We particularly enjoyed lounging on the second level terrace in the afternoons -- it is the perfect place for reading or napping! We typically cooked breakfast at the house and had dinner at home several times. The kitchen is large and very functional, and the large dining room is very pleasant. Casa Madelan is very well located. It is away from the Jardin and busier parts of San Miguel but close enough for easy walking everywhere. The house is about two blocks from the fruit and vegetable market and the associated meat and chicken butchers -- great fresh produce and meat! It is an easy, flat walk from the house to the Jardin and the other principal sights of San Miguel. The property manager, Erika, is extremely pleasant and helpful. Besides helping with questions about the house, Erika helped arrange several tours for us to nearby historic sights. It is also very pleasant to communicate with the property owner, Alan, who is prompt in responding to any questions."

"Our 3d trip to SMA, prior had always stayed in a very stylish B&B but a one-roomer. Saw Collette's house: Photos looked beautiful, reviews were outstanding, and we knew the location. This house was architecturally designed, beautifully decorated with comfortable designer type furnishings, had 2 plant filled patios with gurgling fountains, a plant filled foyer, and a roof top garden with flowers and fruit trees. Located on a picturesque cobble stone street with a massive wooden front door through which you entered into all the comfort leaving the world behind you. Go out the door, turn left, to a nice tree filled park 1 block away; turn right with an easy 10 minute walk to El Jardin. The kitchen was fully equipped with all US type appliances and the bathrooms, as well as the whole house was spotless thanks to Clara the housekeeper and Jose the gardener, sweet, sweet people!! We sat in the roof garden with our Prosecco one evening and our delivery pepperoni pizza with all the SMA lights twinkling, perfect view of the fiery sunset on one side, then the full moon coming up on the other, AND THEN, the recent full eclipse!! What a show from this beautiful home in this beautiful town!! Collette was a dear to work with. Look no further. This property has it all. We'll be back!!"
