  • Lovely house in very quiet neighborhood

"This house was so much more than we had hoped for. The photos in the listing do not do it justice: it is all that and much more. The view from the upper roof garden (yes, there are two roof gardens) is just fabulous. Veronica keeps the house absolutely spotless: fresh towels and (I think) fresh sheets every day are an absolute treat. Insider tip: let her decide what to make for breakfast! Absolutely the only downside of this place is the walk uphill back to the house: don't forget that you are at 6500 feet above sea level. Your lungs will remind you! Fortunately, it's only about 50 pesos (currently ~ 3 USD) for a taxi: highly recommended, especially in the heat of the afternoon."

  • Bright apartment with great location

"My husband and I stayed in this apartment for about 10 nights in early February 2015. The photos are representative of the space, but what we loved the most is that it is very bright (which is not the case in a lot of Mexican homes). The sun shines into the apartment all day due to huge windows along 2 walls. It is a short walk into town, but quiet. The kitchen is small, but well equipped with anything you will need (eating area is quite large, however). The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated and having 2 bathrooms was great. There was no washing machine, but we gave our laundry to Maria, the house keeper and she did a couple of loads for us at a very reasonable price. The large bed is very comfortable and there is a lot of storage in the bedroom. The terrace was our favorite place to sit and read a book or have a cocktail before heading into town for dinner. There are several excellent restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the apartment. The property manager was very easy to work with (and English speaking). I forgot my passport in the bedroom cabinet and noticed this several hours after we had checked out. Erika worked with me to retrieve the passport and get it back to me. Without her cooperation, this could have been a nightmare. Overall a great stay, and if we are back in San Miguel, I would definitely stay here again. Absolutely loved it!"

  • Charm, charm charm!!

"Casa De Las Divas is a wonderful, authentic, pretty place with two charming Casitas for rent. We stayed in the upper one. It was full of light, color, art objects, oriental rugs and gorgeous Boveda ceilings in the bedrooms. The flowery rooftop terrace was full of sun and comfortable outdoor furniture. My 15 yr. old granddaughter thought it was awesome! The location couldn't be better....right in the heart of the Centro Historico and easily walkable to many important sights. We stayed a month and found plenty to do. The weather is divine, sunny, dry and warm. What could be better? Betty H."

  • One of a kind.

"It is impossible to overstate what a wonderful experience we had at Casa Mandu last year. It is beyond amazing. What sets this place apart from others is the owner, Ruth. She responds to requests promptly and helps you find everything you require. She makes you feel secure and cared for at all times. The accommodations are spectacular. They are spacious and beautifully appointed. Casa Mandu is a sanctuary. Our terrace which faced the inner courtyard was filled with lush plants and a water fountain. The gardens are beautiful. The location is first class. There is lots to do close by. The neighborhood is delightful with many excellent restaurants and sites within walking distance. Ruth can recommend sites and activities that may not have occurred to you. We had such a wonderful time at Casa Mandu last year that we are returning this summer. I highly recommend Casa Mandu. It is exceptional!"
