"Excellent location near the plaza, with restaurants and music right across the street, and all the way to the plaza. We were there during the festival for Saint Michael (wonderful time to go to SMA) and got to watch the parades and festivities from the two small balconies overlooking Mesones. The upstairs private terrace was a great place to see the fireworks.Next time we will take advantage of the outdoor kitchen on the terrace and grill out. If you don't want to hear the festivities and music, close the double windows and double drapes, turn on the white noise machine and you won't hear a thing.
The owner provides detailed instructions for the apartment, in case you should need help with wireless internet, TV, Cable, Vonage phone, etc. She gives you access to people to help you with everything in the apartment.
If you tend to get hot, there are floor fans upstairs and downstairs. plus a ceiling fan upstairs. Lots of space (and 2 bathrooms) if one person gets up early and wants to get the day started.
This is an idyllic placed to stay in a wonderful town. We have stayed here twice in the last 4 months and can't wait to return!"

"My husband and I returned to San Miguel after our first trip in 2012. This time we were with two couples who had not been to the City. On our recommendation, we stayed again at Casa Pina, where we had stayed in 2012. The other four were seasoned travelers, and so we held our breath, hoping that they would love Casa Pina as much as we had the first time we were there. We needn't have worried. They were as charmed as we were, and thanked us many times for bringing them to this magical home.
Maria and Theresa, the cook and housekeeper, were there again, and were again attentive to our needs . . . and patient with our lack of Spanish speaking skills. Again, we did not take advantage of the lunches that they would have provided, but enjoyed their wonderful breakfasts every morning, as well as one dinner prepared at our request. The house was also beautifully maintained and picked up for our return each late afternoon or evening. Aleida, the owner, was also available to answer any questions that we had, as was the English speaking property manager.
The location of the house is without peer. Within 1 1/2 blocks of the Jardin, and very near to the action while being very quiet and secluded. The design and decoration of the house are also very special. Three very private bedroom areas gave each couple all the privacy that they might want, while the common areas (particularly the living/dining room that is open to the courtyard, gave ample space for our time together. A second living room and dining room are available, but seldom used because we didn't want to leave the open air living area and large fireplace - perfect for eliminating any early morning or evening chill.
In addition to the ample private areas, the Wi-Fi helped those of us who had to do a little work while we were there."

"My husband and I went to San Miguel de Allende for a week away from home. There is much to love in this inn. The owners are fun to talk with and the staff is the best. Magali even gave me a Mexican cooking lesson. It is more of a residence than a hotel, so think accordingly. Bring a bit of soap, shampoo and coffee. Then go visit the wonderful nearby stores for supplies. There is a joke that you say you are here for a week or so, but the joke is "That's what you think!" You really don't want to go home. The location is very central to El Jardin. With lots of restaurants and, of course, shopping! Walking around town is lovely and the people are really nice."

"This is a great rental. Very comfortable and very clean. It is centrally located and it is a short flat walk to the Jardin. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants! The owners provide a book filled with helpful information. The rental has everything you need including a hair dryer. The owners are very responsive and very easy to work with. SanMiguel is a fabulous town. The food is excellent, we never had a bad meal. I highly recommend this rental. We will definitely be repeat guests!"
