  • What a Place!

"We spent a week in San Miguel at Casa de Mira over Easter. We usually stay in hotels so this was new to us, but we will certainly try again. The property is in tip top shape, and had everything we could hope for, including reliable internet as some work unfortunately had to be done. If I start at the top, the terrace is amazing, with fantastic views, and great amenities for making breakfast, including a toaster oven and sink. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable although we did not spend much time in them because of all of our outside activities and the aforementioned terrace! Kitchen was very functional, and we loved the little nooks, indoors and out, on each floor, wwhere you could sit down for a quick read. There was lots to do and see - we went horsebackriding on a ranch which was an adventure and not for the faint at heart. The markets were amazing and having a strong dollar meant we contributed a lot to the Mexican economy. Very easy to get to key places from the property, and if you get tired of walking, cabs are just a few dollars. Loved the interior, cleanliness, and the little helpful notes in various places! - Would totally come back Casa de Mira!"

  • Great time and beautiful house!!!

"My visit to Casa Adriana was exceptional. All the comforts of luxury were readily available, from the accommadations to the location of the house. The housekeeper was ready to get anything we needed and very sweet to us. Everyone in our group will treasure the time we spent at Casa Adriana and in San Miguel."

  • The Ultimate Family Vacation Destination!

"We LOVED our time here and the comfort, beauty and location of your home. It made our holiday extra special. We so enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and the living room and the books/videos! We had our evening wine and guacamole up on the roof terrace every night and so enjoyed the sunsets and views. Each room has carefully been designed to maximize light, color and the framed beauty of the garden from the windows. The native Mexican artwork and furnishings are so lovely and each room in appointed with special color and features. If you love to cook, as we do, this is a VRBO paradise with everything you need and it’s all in good condition. We took a cooking class while in SMA and were able to return to the market the next day and recreate some of the dishes at the house with everything we needed to create a memorable holiday dinner together. The location was perfect for access to the whole city and yet quiet and private. We hope to return to Casa Escuela Bilingue for a future holiday vacation."

  • Lovely home away from home

"I enjoy this part of San Miguel, by the Ancha and parts south. The surrounding area has many activities within walking distance. The neighborhood is safe, and a close walk to the neighborhood church and it's park setting. Fairly noisy, but that is the beauty of living in a local neighborhood. It's something that you get used to. I opened the door one day and a horse was tethered just across the street with the rider dismounting...gotta love Mexico! The home has been lovingly restored, the furniture is comfortable, the kitchen well equipped with a large refrigerator and all the pots/pans necessary for creating family meals, if you choose to cook. But, there are so many wonderful, inexpensive restaurants within walking distance..why bother? And most importantly, the home is kept clean by a dedicated and sweet housekeeper Christina. A gardener also comes 2x a week to keep the flowers/leaves swept and the fountain & patio area clean. Lots and lots of potted plants and greenery create a very tropical and relaxing atmosphere. There is a balcony off the master bedroom, but it isn't really private as you walk past it to access the front bedroom and the rooftop patio. Access to the rooftop is up a very steep set of off-set steps and might be difficult for someone with a fear of heights and/or people not able to negotiate steep steps, but there are sturdy handrails to use. There were three, comfy lounge chairs and a table with four chairs/2 umbrellas on the roof top deck. We loved watching the sunset at night and the view of the neighborhood church, lit up at night is magical. No view of the Parroquia, but the nighttime sky and stars are special. Flor, the house manager is a very special person and part of the house's charm. She takes care of any problems that might happen (internet/phones were spotty on our visit) with a quiet professionalism. Never did the phone situation handled, but vacation isn't a time for all that anyway. There are many WIFI cafes within walking distance as well, so grab a cup of coffee and make some new friends."
