"My son and I had a magical time during our week at the casa and in San Miguel de Allende. This home is a beautiful, comfortable retreat that is exactly as pictured. It is lovingly maintained and, during our stay, cared for by a delightful housekeeper who was also kind enough to teach us a little Spanish every time we saw her. The home had everything we needed, and when we wanted to take a break from exploring, we had an eclectic library of books and videos to keep us entertained, along with plenty of sunny verandas to choose from for relaxing. The casa is a short walk away from the center of the city (10-15 mins, slight uphill on the return) and located in a neighborhood with mostly Mexican families. The owner of the casa, Tim, was incredibly gracious and easy to work with from start to finish. We so appreciated the starter groceries left for our first morning after a late night arrival, beautiful vases of fresh flowers, and the helpful list of his favorite restaurants and recommended experiences in the city and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our adventures in San Miguel de Allende. It is a charming city full of surprises at every turn, behind every door, and in every courtyard. The people we encountered were gracious and helpful and so patient with our attempts at Spanish. We loved our meals and the gorgeous views at the rooftop restaurant La Posadita, and breakfast in the courtyard of Hotel Posada Carmina. The Lavanda Cafe was a charming gem of a restaurant as well. We enjoyed the Jardin Botanica (a short taxi ride away), the Allende Museum, exploring the many artist’s studios and shops at La Fabrica de Aurora (5 mins from the casa), and walking, walking everywhere (comfortable shoes are a must on the cobblestones). Thank you, Tim and Maru, for a wonderful stay. We hope to return soon to continue the adventure. – Debbie and Ryan, Santa Barbara"

"We just spent 10 wonderful days at Casa Romantica.
We rented the entire house as we met our adult son there for vacation, having the separate casita for him worked perfectly. The fact that you can enter the main house from the outside staircase in the beautiful garden was perfect.
Luz, the housekeeper was great, she was there Mon-Fri, doing our laundry, cleaning house and even cooked an amazing dinner for us one night.
The views from the terraces are spectacular from the early morning hot air balloons to the beautiful nighttime views of the Cathedral.
Irina, the owner, sent us a detailed list of restaurants, all of which were excellent.
Loved the tapas bar just a few steps from the house.
All in all, a great stay, I would highly recommend staying at Casa Romantica."

"Casa Cielo is gorgeous! Starting with the comfortably furnished rooftop garden, the view couldn't be more beautiful. We spent a lot of time up there with our friends. We took the master bedroom which is very spacious and the bed super comfortable. The colorful tiling in all three bathrooms is lovely. The kitchen, dining room and sitting room have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Anything you need can be found in this home. The owners go out of their way to make things easy for the visitor. Plenty of information on the area is provided in the home. If we go back, we won't look anywhere else for accommodation."

"My friend and I stayed at Casa Amarillo in early November 2014 and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. I visited SMA last year and enjoyed it, and while there, saw this charming enclave of townhouses through the gates, so it was wonderful to discover this was the same place. The photos do not do it justice---very spacious, light, and comfortable, with any amenity you could want (except the dishwasher which isn't needed). Maria, the housekeeper, comes 3 times a week, and is so nice, friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The roof terrace has fabulous views, and the patios make it feel open and spacious. The two bedrooms with ensuite baths are both upstairs with a TV area in between. Both are very comfortable with those delightful boveda brick ceilings. There is also a powder room on the first floor. The location is excellent too---around the corner from the Rosewood Hotel which is a must do for the first night. Have a drink on their roof terrace---fabulous. Also on Saturday, the casa is a short walk from the farmer's market. Filtered water is abundant. The town of SMA is safe, and this is particularly safe and only about a 10 minute walk from the main square. A car is not needed at all. Thank you Peter, Gwen, and Maria!"
