  • Relaxing retreat, centro as it gets.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SonjoWasi. The historic garden property is located in centro San Miguel, very close to the beautiful Parque Benito Juárez and the new Rosewood Hotel and Spa. Many wonderful things to see and do are within easy walking distance, such as the Instituto Allende, Tianguis Orgánico Saturday market, and so on. Villa staff members took very good care of us, and made us feel right at home, esp., preparing home cooked Mexican breakfasts and lunches, helping with our laundry, calling taxis, and so forth. A modern Peruvian restaurant called La Parada, is located conveniently just outside of the villa gates. To conclude, we absolutely enjoyed our sojourn at SonjoWasi, and we totally recommend it."

  • SMA is Magical

"On our first visit to San Miguel we were fortunate enough to find this unique and lovely house. It is as represented in the photos but even better in person. We loved sitting in the bright and cheery living room for AM coffee, lighting the fireplace on cool mornings. The waterfall wall is not only beautiful but on warm days it is like a cool oasis that comes into the kitchen/living room. The house is filled with art, something interesting around every corner. There is so much to do in San Miguel that we weren't in many evenings but on rainy nights, the den upstairs was cozy and you could enjoy the city views. Our favorite place is the Roof Terrace, overlooking the city. It is beautiful in the afternoon, for sunsets, the afterglow and then as the lights of the city come on and the church bells peal over the city. Up one more flight of stairs and you are on the roof for the most spectacular views possible We especially appreciated the location, near the city center and the Mercado. We walked everywhere but the availability of reasonably priced taxis was a real asset as well. We found many interesting and very good restaurants, important as we are Foodies. We found music everywhere, a wide variety and available every night in some location. There are movies in at least two venues, well priced and recent offerings. Our Mexican neighbors were patient with our non Spanish skills, always helpful. And perhaps the real magic of San Miguel is the friendly spirit, outgoing people, new friends waiting to be made. We would definitely recommend this home to friends. We were welcomed by a Representative of the owner, arrangements were made for a driver to meet us at the airport and the owner is responsive and welcoming."

  • THE MAGICAL CASA LA RUINA

"Our family from Canada and the U.S. united at Casa LaRuina. Each had beautiful art-filled private accommodations and came together each day in the lush patios and roof-top gardens of the house for drinks and meals. The casa was a perfect base from which to explore the many restaurants, gardens, art galleries and music, or just stroll through the streets of the magical city of San Miguel Allende."

  • Wonderful house with secret attraction

"The "flower pot" is a very well supplied house in a spectacular neighborhood. As someone who comes to San Miguel every year, this was my first experience in Colonia San Antonio, and I was delighted. Everything is here - from "fruterias" to butchers and chicken stores. You are easy walking distance from the Ancha de San Antonio, with its restaurants and the Instituto, and a short walk beyond that to the center of town. The secret delight of the house is the roof, which is equipped like an outdoor room with grill, refrigerator, sink, bed, even a full bath with a shower. My husband and I worked from this level every day, enjoying the warm air and view of the Parroquia. It's great to have a bathroom on every floor -- so convenient. Everything was charming and worked well. I am glad to be able to put this house on my "will visit again" list."
