"This was our first visit to San Miguel de Allende and we really enjoyed our week in the city staying at Tres Arcos. The quiet, residential location is perfect for walking to the markets, city sights, parks and if needed a taxi for destinations further was usually just a block away. The house is very spacious and clean with adequate couches, chairs and tables and a nice kitchen with a great 6 burner gas stove, coffee maker and microwave. There is a little store across the street for basics and nice local breads were available. It was sunny for most of the week so very pleasant to sit out on the roof for morning coffee. The rooftop hammock was fun for a rest later in the day and there are also two chaise to stretch out on. All of the bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds, good linens and nice lighting. It was chilly at night so the electric blankets were a nice touch. I liked the bit of Mexican art and handicrafts on all the walls and was ready to take home some of the furniture that I found especially attractive. Bathrooms were tiled with ample supplies of towels and paper products. The hot water stayed hot and it was possible to do multiple showers without water issues. Good to have a washer and dryer on hand also. The wifi worked very well with the multiple devices that we had with us and it was a cinch to connect. One night we stayed in and had a nice selection of dvds to pick a movie from. What was especially appealing about the area was that we felt perfectly safe at any hour of the day and I was not afraid to let my 14 year old and her friend head off on their own for a short walk or stay alone in the house. The house also has local guidebooks to help plan your time and the very informative and helpful property manager Marilyn is also easily reached if assistance is necessary. We did so many wonderful things in our week and walked for miles but I have to say that taking a horseback ride at Xotolar was a highlight. I would highly recommend a stay at the house and hope to return to this wonderful city again. Thank you!"

  • A Wonderful Stay in a Very Special Place!

"I was part of a group of two couples who stayed at this beautiful home in San Miguel for a week (during Holy Week). It was the perfect size for the four of us with one bedroom on the first floor, the living room/dining room/kitchen on the second floor, the second bedroom on the third floor, and a lovely rooftop terrace above that (the pictures are very accurate). We spent several evenings on the rooftop terrace, sipping wine, engaging in long conversations, and taking in the absolutely gorgeous views. This house is truly beautifully designed and there's nothing we would have changed about it. We felt very much at home. And it was only about a 10 minute walk to the town center. The walk to the center involves a steady incline but then of course the walk back to the house is all downhill (which is welcome after having a couple of margaritas in the center). We never took a cab, except for when we took day trips outside of town. The owners were very hospitable in all of our correspondences and provided us with a nice packet of recommendations and maps. Carmen, the housekeeper, is also very kind and helpful. She was just finishing up when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house and answered some of our questions. Everything went smoothly and staying at this house was a pleasure. We're so grateful to have found this gem in the neighborhood of San Antonio. And as it was Holy Week, the town was especially crowded, so we were happy to be staying a bit off the beaten track in a quieter part of town. A few places, restaurants, experiences that we especially enjoyed include: Mariscolandia (a really delicious and inexpensive, local seafood restaurant in the San Antonio neighborhood), Santos (a very hip, affordable, yummy seafood restaurant with live music closer to the center), la Fabrica (a fabric factory that has been converted into an art gallery), the Art Institute (which had a really cool artist market happening when we stopped by), the bibliotica/library (which has a beautiful courtyard and cafe), horseback riding with Tomas (a suggestion that the owners gave to us which turned out to be one of the biggest highlights of our trip), and the list goes on! We couldn't have imagined a better, more magical experience in San Miguel and this house made for the perfect home during our stay!"

  • A Nice Spot in San Miguel

"Property exactly as described. Francisco, the House Manager was extremely helpful with locations, restaurants, etc. Property very clean and well maintained. New visitors should be aware that property is up a long steep grade from the Centro. It is a 20 minute walk to the Jardin from this property."

  • San Miguel de Allende with Family

"We felt so lucky to find and stay a week at "Manto de Luna". This home has a great spirit. We stayed with our two young daughters and enjoyed all the beautiful views and comfortable, relaxing spaces throughout this home. We walked every day to town and felt very safe in the neighborhood. San Miguel de Allende is a very family-friendly town. So much to see and do. We took full advantage of the owner's list of places to see and things to do. Then it was great to come back from all of the activities in downtown each day to such a nice, comfortable home. The house is very well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. We even prepared a big breakfast and served it on the rooftop terrace one day and it was absolutely amazing!"
