  • Location, Location, Location

"We spent five weeks here and found the house to be very comfortable and ideally located. The house is an easy and nearly level (nothing is truly level in San Miguel) walk to all the important sites and venues. It is located on a quiet block but there are many good restaurants near by. It is hard to imagine a more convenient location. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a full size refrigerator, six burner cooktop, oven, and a dishwasher (which is a rarity in San Miguel). We had friends visit for one week and the fact that one bedroom is downstairs and the second one is upstairs and each has a private bath, gave us both privacy. The beds are comfortable and there is ample closet space. The wifi is very fast. There is a large flat screen TV in the living room and the cable includes many US channels in English. There are several outdoor areas upstairs and downstairs to enjoy the comfortable San Miguel weather. A maid comes three times a week and keeps everything clean and organized. She is very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

  • Three weeks of delicious comfort

"Even before you reach the house, from a block away, we felt like we we entering an enclave of bogenvilla draped town homes. Upon entering the secured house walkway garden, there is no denying that a sense of peace permeates going home to Casa Esteban. We found the house decorated to our pleasure. Its gardens were beautifully landscaped, and don't forget to spend time on the furnished outdoor rooftop living and dining area. Thanks to a well stocked kitchen and all of the above this was a perfect three week stay."

  • Our Best Vacation Ever!

"We always struggle about where to go on vacation. I love a hot beach and my husband cannot stand heat or sand. What we do agree on is that we both love great food. San Miguel proved to be a perfect match for both of us. Since there was no humidity, 80 degrees was very comfortable for both of us. The evenings were lovely and cool. The town of San Miguel is gorgeous; a riot of colors, music everywhere, epic shopping, street vendors selling the best tacos we've ever had, upscale restaurants everywhere and the surrounding countryside is full of opportunities to hike, go horseback riding and explore hot springs. Even if you don't speak Spanish, the shopkeepers and restaurant staff do, and they are all very friendly and helpful. I'm going to say it again: Don't miss the street food - it is simply the best, freshest way to eat authentic Mexican food. The beautifully furnished house is spectacular! It has a modern open layout which allows for great family time but there are also plenty of places to which you can escape for privacy. Take your pick from 3 terraces: one poolside, and two different rooftops. I recommend cocktails on the uppermost terrace with a perfect view of San Miguel at sunset. The lush garden features a solar heated saline hot tub and swimming pool, so we could bask in the warm water after a fun day exploring/shopping/horseback riding. The beds were all extremely comfortable, which we appreciated as we were happily exhausted at the end of each day. One word of warning, there are real estate offices throughout the town, and we have heard that many people come for a visit and end up buying a house before the week is over!"

  • San Raphael Home

"We selected this home because we wanted to stay in a typical Mexican neighborhood, and wanted to be within walking distance of the Warren Hardy School. Both of these objectives were met, and I recommend this house for others with the same desire. Mexican homes do not typically have air conditioners, and we had some days that were hot. The air flow through the house was minimal, so it took longer to cool off. Also, some of the things listed as being included were not there; the stereo for example. The owner was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood and the walk to the school were very safe. We enjoyed staying at this house. The beds were comfortable."
