  • Five Stars " For Sure !!!!!!

"I needed a safe place to recover from facelift surgery and this exceeded my expectations. Location, Location, Location, close to everything , local market, organic store, Jardin, park, shopping Ect. I could walk everywhere and the neighborhood was totally safe, as I was traveling by myself the last 8 days. The house is staffed by Veronica the housekeeper "cook" who is fantastic. There is also Ponce , the care taker, who helped me in a pinch a number of times, for example, how to place Mexico to U.S. phone calls. The Casita is absolutely lovely. When we stepped in the door we knew we had reached paradise. The gardens are gorgeous , lush and fragrant, which is why we spent a lot of our time on the roof top garden, comfortable and lots of personality. The beds, linens and pillows are that of a luxury hotel. Sally , the owner, is one of the most thoughtful women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting , checking in on me during my recover plus so much more. She does not skimp on a thing. All our needs were saw too. I had lots of question preparing for the trip and her communication was the Bomb. The owner, staff, and house are a unique, warm and well thought out find in this crazy world. I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone in any circumstance. This place is a real Jewel in San Miguel. I hope to return soon. ."

  • Comfortable home!

"I felt at home immediately upon arriving. The walk to the center of town was only 9-10 minutes. I loved the neighborhood, everyone was so friendly. There is a small grocery store practically right next door and a produce store just opened while we there, right across the street. We stayed for almost 5 weeks, best experience ever! It can be a bit noisy but once you get used to the pigeons cooing, the roosters good morning, the children going to school and a violin instructor across the street, (which was very nice) the sounds become so familiar and you wonder how you will go home without them. I loved the church bells and the views from the rooftop, simply beautiful. The housekeeper was wonderful, just a sweetheart. I would recommend this house for anyone who would like to experience the Mexican culture. I can't wait to go back next year, this time for 3 months."

"We were 6 people travelling in my family and we were all pleasantly accommodated. We discovered that San Miguel de Allende was the number one rated town according to Conde Nast 2013 and decided this is where my parents will be moving for their retirement!! We found this rental property to be especially well located and easy to walk to the town main square especially for my parents that are over 65. It is a very safe neighborhood with so many delicious restaurants especially Hecho en Mexico near the Institute and the restaurant located in the famous Rosewood Hotel as well as their rooftop tapas bar!! This review must not go without a special mention for the maid Ericka, she is outstandingly meticulous and a real gem to go along with this beautifully authentically decorated home! Communication with the owner was beyond satisfactory and even with a little booking hiccup they went beyond what was expected which made our stay even more special!! Even of my parents don't end up here permanently this rental property will be on top of our list!"

  • Our Month at Casa Bella, San Miguel de Allende

"Upon entering Casa Bella it is immediately apparent that this is a private home and not merely a property available for rental purposes. After ascending the stairs from the street and garage level to the first floor the first thing one sees and hears is the gorgeous fountain located immediately outside the door between the living room and the elevated terrace. What a pleasant sight and sound. I knew right away we would be comfortable in this house. The first floor has an adequate living area with comfortable seating and a table with six chairs for casual dining in front of the fountain. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The more formal dining room is quite large with a dining table that seats eight people comfortably. We had eleven for dinner one night and it worked just fine. The adjacent sitting room has comfortable seating and a flat screen TV that is more than satisfactory. It receives almost all the channels I get in the U.S. so I didn't have to miss any of my favorite news programs. The information you don't get on a vacation home's website is the size of the rooms and the proximity of the rooms, one to the other. This is particularly important for bedrooms. At Casa Bella the three principal bedrooms are all large and each has a sizable bathroom attached; no sharing. All are beautifully furnished and decorated and each bedroom is a half level from the others. The largest has a king bed with a sitting area and desk adjacent to it. The bay window and the adjacent outside terrace provide a panoramic view of San Miguel. The other two have queen beds and one of those bedrooms has doors that open to the lower level terrace, a half level above the living area. All beds are extremely comfortable. The top floor is occupied by a spacious terrace with the same gorgeous view of the city, perfect for an end of the day cocktail and view of the sunset. Another option is to take the stairs to still another terrace with the identical view. I can't say enough about Margarita, the housekeeper who works five days a week from 9:00 to 2:00, takes meticulous care of the property, is charming and personable and a wonderful cook. Several times we asked her to cook things she particularly likes to do and we were never disappointed. We provided money for the food and she returned the change. Be sure to have her make her specialty, paella! I sincerely look forward to our next trip to Casa Bella."
