  • The Ultimate Family Vacation Destination!

"We LOVED our time here and the comfort, beauty and location of your home. It made our holiday extra special. We so enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and the living room and the books/videos! We had our evening wine and guacamole up on the roof terrace every night and so enjoyed the sunsets and views. Each room has carefully been designed to maximize light, color and the framed beauty of the garden from the windows. The native Mexican artwork and furnishings are so lovely and each room in appointed with special color and features. If you love to cook, as we do, this is a VRBO paradise with everything you need and it’s all in good condition. We took a cooking class while in SMA and were able to return to the market the next day and recreate some of the dishes at the house with everything we needed to create a memorable holiday dinner together. The location was perfect for access to the whole city and yet quiet and private. We hope to return to Casa Escuela Bilingue for a future holiday vacation."

  • Fantastic

"Perfect house for two people with an ideal location within minutes of the Parroquia. And when you've had enough - the walk is back is pleasantly all downhill. Two bathrooms so each guest can spread out and have their own bath and closet. Two terraces for sunny outdoor time. Adorable kitchen with coffeemaker (which is all we used) because there are great restaurants within 5 minute walk. 24 hour pharmacy is 3 blocks away. Taxis nearby without feeling were on a busy street and the bells in the distance where they belong. Beautifully furnished and great bed. WiFi works even on terrace. Spotless housekeeping which is always a relief. Clear directions on how to operate the house in entry. Quick to respond and charming owner. Now we don't have the urge to buy - we can try and return to Casa Vadra on future visits."

  • Beautiful architecture, gardens, light and views close to el centro

"We have spent the last 2 February vacations in this beautiful house. We have loved it from our first introduction. Entering through the older casita on the street level, you open the wrought iron gates and you are in paradise. Greeted by flowers, lemon trees and a fountain, you see three levels of gardens, each with its own chairs and tables art and arches. Our favorite room of this multi-level house (built about 25 years ago) is the living room and its 2 terraces on the upper level. Being upstairs, the room is full of sunlight . From the windows and terraces, incredibly beautiful views of the parochia and the town. In the early morning, we love seeing the hot air balloons (with colors to match the town) floating above, and at dusk, the sunset as the sky turns its colors over the distant purple mountains. And at night we see the moon and the lights of the town. The living room is large with carefully chosen art and crafts from Mexico, sitting areas and a gas fireplace for cooler mornings. At night the indirect light gives a glow to the room. The bedroom on the 2nd floor has a comfotable bed, lovely linens and a tub in its bathroom. (each of the 3 bathrooms have tubs). The bedroom has lovely views of the gardens. Another wonderful aspect of the house is Luz, the housekeeper here for 21 years. She keeps the house and gardens beautifully , teaches us Spanish, and has become mi amiga mexicana. She helps me to feel part of the culture. Luz and her family live next door. I love the neighborhood, a mixture of friendly Mexicans and ex-pats. There are 3 tiendas on the small, quiet street and a neighborhoid bar/restaurant on the corner. The neighborhood is very safe. The jardin (el centro) is a 10-15 minute walk downhill. I return via Hospicio (not so steep), Baranca to Huertas. And taxis are $3.50 USD. Irena, the owner, has created this exquisite property reflecting her understanding of Mexico, her interest in art and architecture, light and color. She is very thoughtful and helpful. I have taken dozens of photos of the house, its angles, views , flowers and art. It complements beautiful San Miguel de Allende, and we love staying here."
