  • Lovely house in very quiet neighborhood

"This house was so much more than we had hoped for. The photos in the listing do not do it justice: it is all that and much more. The view from the upper roof garden (yes, there are two roof gardens) is just fabulous. Veronica keeps the house absolutely spotless: fresh towels and (I think) fresh sheets every day are an absolute treat. Insider tip: let her decide what to make for breakfast! Absolutely the only downside of this place is the walk uphill back to the house: don't forget that you are at 6500 feet above sea level. Your lungs will remind you! Fortunately, it's only about 50 pesos (currently ~ 3 USD) for a taxi: highly recommended, especially in the heat of the afternoon."

  • Happy memories

"Nancy, thank you for our stay at your studio. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Coming from our previous rental in San Miguel by the Rosewood, it was a pleasure to have a lush, comfortable mattress, luxury linens, and a quality heater. My husband took a picture of me luxuriating on the bed and had it painted into a portrait. It is quite lovely if I say so myself. Happy memories! Your studio is beautifully decorated and charming, and your degree in designs shows. The view of the courtyard and the soothing fountain from the bedroom windows was lovely. Playing with your dogs was an added bonus. Your gardener/handiman takes good care of them, and your housekeeper was pleasant and helpful. You are a dynamo realtor. We do not think anyone has your work ethic. You showed us lots, and we are delighted with the home we have in San Miguel. Thank you so much again. We look forward to seeing you and your husband again."

  • Understated by owners!

"Let me begin by stating that Laurie and Larry's description undertates the property and, in fact, San Miguel. The owners are helpful but not obtrusive and have really done a masterful job with this property. The experession "killer views" is so accurate; with essentially 3 decks (rooftop, off kitchen/living room and off master bedroom) the views overlooking the town (not very far away) are outstanding and stunning. Although the Casa is a short walk to downtown, it is well-located; we generally walked downtown and took a cab home ($3.00 or so). There is no need for a car and the walk is not arduous. The owners are very responsive; I don't know how they could have been more helpful. This began prior to renting, during a somewhat difficult trip that caused us to be delayed and prior to the rental. If there was a problem, it was dealt with immediately. The housekeeper, Soledad, is a gem. Helpful, efficient, lives within feet of the casa and truly is a wonderful person. I hope the reader is getting the impression that my wife and I are totally impressed with the property, town and owners. I really can't add to Laurie and Larry's description. The house is perfect, everything works, it's clean, well equipped and almost perfectly located. The owners are helpful and not hovering; they are totally responsive and have really done a first-class job of making this property a great rental. One of the "perks" is that the owners have provided their own guide book for San Miguel with recommendations for restaurants and other such interesting "to do" things. There is a good, stable and fast wifi, a good library of books, a good library of videos (although we were so busy we never turned on the TV or used any videos) and manuals for everything in the house. You can spend more but won't get more."

  • Excellent house to rent in San Miguel de Allende

"We spent a great week in SMA with another couple at this excellent house. It was beautiful, clean, comfortable, secure, fully furnished, and well appointed. It has an outdoor atrium with a fountain. The house has several fireplaces. It is within easy walking distance to the center of town, called the Jardin, and many great restaurants. You do not need a car to stay here. I would recommend this house to anyone. Excellent value for the price."
