  • A Lovely San Miguel casa

"What a Great place to stay in San Miguel! The house is very well equipped in a great location. The master bedroom is big and airy with beautiful views of town and the parroquia. The roof patio is the perfect place to sip a margarita at sunset with stunning views or take a picture of the hot air balloons in the morning. We felt safe and well taken care of by the staff. We loved our time at the house and hope to stay there again!"

  • Magical Week, Perfect Place to Stay

"My son and I had a magical time during our week at the casa and in San Miguel de Allende. This home is a beautiful, comfortable retreat that is exactly as pictured. It is lovingly maintained and, during our stay, cared for by a delightful housekeeper who was also kind enough to teach us a little Spanish every time we saw her. The home had everything we needed, and when we wanted to take a break from exploring, we had an eclectic library of books and videos to keep us entertained, along with plenty of sunny verandas to choose from for relaxing. The casa is a short walk away from the center of the city (10-15 mins, slight uphill on the return) and located in a neighborhood with mostly Mexican families. The owner of the casa, Tim, was incredibly gracious and easy to work with from start to finish. We so appreciated the starter groceries left for our first morning after a late night arrival, beautiful vases of fresh flowers, and the helpful list of his favorite restaurants and recommended experiences in the city and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our adventures in San Miguel de Allende. It is a charming city full of surprises at every turn, behind every door, and in every courtyard. The people we encountered were gracious and helpful and so patient with our attempts at Spanish. We loved our meals and the gorgeous views at the rooftop restaurant La Posadita, and breakfast in the courtyard of Hotel Posada Carmina. The Lavanda Cafe was a charming gem of a restaurant as well. We enjoyed the Jardin Botanica (a short taxi ride away), the Allende Museum, exploring the many artist’s studios and shops at La Fabrica de Aurora (5 mins from the casa), and walking, walking everywhere (comfortable shoes are a must on the cobblestones). Thank you, Tim and Maru, for a wonderful stay. We hope to return soon to continue the adventure. – Debbie and Ryan, Santa Barbara"

  • Vibrant neighbourhood

"Loved this place. Very spacious and has everything one would need. A friend came to stay for a week and there was plenty of space to have private time if needed. Great patio to watch sunsets. Loved the neighbourhood. Very artistic. Thing always changing. A yoga place opened on the next block and a week later was selling fabulous pizzas on the weekend. Across the street you can buy fresh squeezed juices, buy vegetables or pick up a piñata. Plenty of little stores and a real feel of community there. Can't wait to stay again if possible."

  • Lovely house in very quiet neighborhood

"This house was so much more than we had hoped for. The photos in the listing do not do it justice: it is all that and much more. The view from the upper roof garden (yes, there are two roof gardens) is just fabulous. Veronica keeps the house absolutely spotless: fresh towels and (I think) fresh sheets every day are an absolute treat. Insider tip: let her decide what to make for breakfast! Absolutely the only downside of this place is the walk uphill back to the house: don't forget that you are at 6500 feet above sea level. Your lungs will remind you! Fortunately, it's only about 50 pesos (currently ~ 3 USD) for a taxi: highly recommended, especially in the heat of the afternoon."
