  • Wandering, Rest, Relaxation

"I spent the first few days with a close friend and the remainder of the time with myself. The rooftop is the perfect spot for sunrises and sunsets and the house is just lovely and the house is comfortable in clean. I loved the location once I acquainted myself with the best routes to get where I wanted to be and enjoyed the stroll to nearby restaurants, the park, and Centro. While there are a ton of boutique hotels here, having my own kitchen, washer, and private patio was perfect for me, especially if you want to enjoy the delicious findings at the market to prepare your own food! The house manager was very helpful and all transactions were super easy. I highly recommenf San Miguel de Allende and this property."

  • Left yesterday, ready to go back tomorrow!

"We gathered several extended family members (all adult) for a week at Casa Carole and had pretty high expectations. The home and San Miguel exceeded our expectations in all regards - we were utterly charmed at every corner. Casa Carole has been clearly and lovingly created with the utmost attention to detail -you'll find everything you need and want to be very comfortable. And it is a feast for the eyes and the spirit - the trick is in absorbing all of the beauty there. Each time you think you've seen every piece of art, each artifact or fun little place to sit and read, you'll find another! The home is artfully filled with colors and textures that will leave you feeling as though you have truly experienced Mexico in an authentic manner. Our family enjoyed our time together so much, with the space to be together as much as we desired or private time as couples also, with plenty of room to spread out. The location of the home is ideal. It is a short walk to the restaurants, the open air markets, everything! Beware - there are some wickedly good bakery smells that waft their way on to the terrace every morn and you will be compelled to search out the bakery. And it is dangerously close to the house. Just don't say you weren't warned! We enjoyed every restaurant we visited - definitely take advantage of the recommendations in the house's "Guest Book" - it is very helpful. We also enjoyed the open-air markets very much - a lot of fun! And the jardin and main square around the large Parish church at night are just wonderful - so much to see. ALL streets are stone - very charming but definitely require good walking shoes so don't show up with heels or impractical shoes. All in all, this trip was not only a wonderful time for our family to get to know a new "bride" amongst our group, it was wonderfully colorful, rich, relaxing, yummy time together that we will always remember, all thanks to our home away from home at Casa Carole."

  • Very Nice, San Miguel Home

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was as advertised. It is the quint essential San Miguel Home. Eevrything was very nice. One bedroom is off on its own in the patio area. Then the master bedroom is upstairs on its own. You will be blown away by the view from the top floor. The sunset, a glass of wine over looking San Miguel. It doesn't get any better than that. We will stay in this home again."

Getting to Central Mexico Vacation Houses

The main access point to the central region of Mexico is through the capital Mexico City. The Benito Juarez International Airport is located in Mexico City. It is one of Central America’s busiest airports and its expansion has only been hampered by the fact that it is surrounded by residential and commercial property. A secondary airport is the Toluca airport which handles domestic and private charter flights. The Mexico City Airport hosts most major North and South American carriers. There are regularly scheduled flights that operate daily between Mexico City and destinations such as Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas and Dallas. If traveling from other parts of the United States or Canada, you can route via any one of these major hubs. A bus terminal located outside the airport provides public transportation to other parts of Mexico City. If you plan to explore further afield, it may be a good idea to hire a car for the duration of your stay.
