  • Perfection!

"I wish I could give this house six stars! It was that amazing. I have rented houses in San Miguel de Allende before but this house is in a class by itself. Not only was it drop dead gorgeous, it was authentic in its feel. The attention to detail not only in aesthetic but function was perfection, I am an interior designer so I could go on and on..,,, The location made it close to everything but was also a welcome oasis at the end of the day. Last but not least the owners were really great. They truly made the trip with their recommendations and going the mile to help you have the very best experience possible. We will be back to stay again. made the trip with their recommendations"

  • Awesome views!

"The view of this property is outstanding, a great location, The staff, Rosita and Ruben did an awesome job. They helped us a lot and make us feel very comfortable like if we were in our own home. They keep the home very clean and neat, they made the home a great place to stay. The home needs renovation, particularly the bathrooms. We choose this home because the communication with the owner was great and the location. We recommend this Mexican style home but do not expect top of the line luxury."

  • Excellent Experience

"We had an great time spending February and March (2014) at the Flowerpot, and would like to add our names to the long list of excellent reviews that this accommodation has already gathered. Our time there was very enjoyable and we really hated to leave. This place is very comfortable, well equipped, and tastefully decorated. The rooftop area was a great place to relax while getting some sun while just reading, or to entertain company. The Flowerpot is just far enough from Centro to get a bit of exercise while shopping or attending cultural events. However, the immediate neighborhood also has plenty to offer. Next door there is a fruit and vegetable tienda that also sells freshly squeezed orange juice. A few doors away there is an excellent family restaurant (El Rinconcito) and there is another very nice restaurant (El Buen) just a couple of blocks away on San Jorge. There is also a Tortillaria a few steps away and a reasonably stocked grocery store (where English is spoken if that is important). We also really appreciated the local staff as they (Erika and Jonathon) were very prompt and efficient if we had any questions or small problems. Elizabeth was wonderful and we very much enjoyed our interactions with her as well. Overall, we loved this place and will try to get it the next time we come to San Miguel. We will highly recommend the Flowerpot to our relatives and friends."

  • FABULOUS LOCATION AND APT.

"This apartment offers you the opportunity to experience living in the heart of San Miguel de Allende. Its decor is truly warm and represents the beauty of Mexican crafts and culture. It is a brief walk to a huge fresh market, a delicious bakery, the market of the Artisans, lovely plazas and the amazing library which has two theaters and an open air cafe. The apartment is cool in the heat of the day and has a large kitchen for cooking local fare. The manager and maid are extremely accommodating and the laundry is a short walk and very reliable. The neighborhood is very safe and comfortable with friendly neighbors. I fell in love with both the accommodations and SMA and will return next year to take art courses and take part in the Writer's Conference, if I am able."

Getting to Central Mexico Vacation Houses

The main access point to the central region of Mexico is through the capital Mexico City. The Benito Juarez International Airport is located in Mexico City. It is one of Central America’s busiest airports and its expansion has only been hampered by the fact that it is surrounded by residential and commercial property. A secondary airport is the Toluca airport which handles domestic and private charter flights. The Mexico City Airport hosts most major North and South American carriers. There are regularly scheduled flights that operate daily between Mexico City and destinations such as Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas and Dallas. If traveling from other parts of the United States or Canada, you can route via any one of these major hubs. A bus terminal located outside the airport provides public transportation to other parts of Mexico City. If you plan to explore further afield, it may be a good idea to hire a car for the duration of your stay.
