Privacy, Intimacy and Isolation on an Island (really a peninsula) Paradise
"We spent about 10 days at this lovely home on Isla Navidad. The house was beautifully maintained, and on the grounds of (though totally separate from) the Grand Isla Navidad Resort (although we had privileges there). At the villa was had our own small pool and daily maid service. The beach was nearby, although we didn't swim there, preferring to swim at the large hotel pool.
Not easily accessible without a car. We used our car daily to go to the resort and nearby towns, and to buy groceries and eat at restaurants (when we're weren't cooking at the villa).
Although the house didn't have cable or satellite TV, it had a selection of DVD's, and we also brought our own.
This is a great house to spend a vacation - it is private, reasonably luxurious, intimate and beautiful. The peninsula on which the hotel and villa sit is hilly and lush. Really beautiful, especially compared the the nearby villages, such as Barra de Navidad (where we often ate dinners).
Overall, I would rate this home as excellent."

"I can't say enough how we all enjoyed our week. We didn't need a tv, because the ocean and the mountains where so breathtaking. The food was incredible. We could not have asked for more. I would just warn people that there are a lot of mosquitos, so spray often. Would it stop me from going there, no way. Just spray with Off a lot. Weather was incredible."

"Just spent two weeks in this wonderful condo. The condo is very, very well equipped with everything you need if you want to cook. Beds are really comfy as is all the furniture in the condo. At the pool you are waited on hand and foot for drinks and food which is very reasonable. We thought we would cook more until we started eating at the 4 restaurants on the Marina. Our favorite was the Marina Grill at the end...private...romantic and VERY inexpensive for fine dining. The Italian on is yummy too...great pizza! This Mexican destination is unlike anyplace else I've ever been in Mexico! No hounding and not americanized at all! You won't find any Gucci shops here. We toured Colima and the surrounding areas in car, ATV & by boat! All good! There are the elevators (3 to 10th floor) but we found them to be fast and efficient so not a problem. Had our laundry done twice...just take to the front office and they bring it back next day folded and clean! Once again, very inexpensive. View is fantastic of the terrace! Internet not great but sometimes it worked like wildfire...Can't wait to go back to Manzanillo again!"

"Ten friends stayed in this gorgeous house over Thanksging week. The pictures are just a mere glimpse into what awaits you in this magnificent home. Michele is wonderful to work with and is a hands on owner. She will arrange ahead for fishing and other activities prior to your arrival. Antonio, our driver, was a great asset. The entire house staff is top quality.
You can't go wrong with renting this home."
