  • Highly recommended condo

"This condo was gorgeous! My husband and I stayed there with our parents for the Christmas holidays. You will have all the comforts of home in a resort type atmosphere. The staff clean every second day, and are attentive to all your needs. The pool is huge, heated, and was so nice to relax in. We could always find a lounger or table to sit at, and the swim up bar was a bonus. The condo is located within a block or two of fabulous restaurants (El Fogon), a Walmart, grocery store, car rental company, pharmacy, etc.... The only warning that I would have, which the owner warned of before I booked, is that the stairs to go to the second and third floors are a fairly steep climb, and may not be good for people with mobility issues. We really loved this condo... So much that we are looking into buying there! Highly recommended :)"

  • Most relaxing holiday ever!

"I can't say enough how we all enjoyed our week. We didn't need a tv, because the ocean and the mountains where so breathtaking. The food was incredible. We could not have asked for more. I would just warn people that there are a lot of mosquitos, so spray often. Would it stop me from going there, no way. Just spray with Off a lot. Weather was incredible."

  • Privacy, Intimacy and Isolation on an Island (really a peninsula) Paradise

"We spent about 10 days at this lovely home on Isla Navidad. The house was beautifully maintained, and on the grounds of (though totally separate from) the Grand Isla Navidad Resort (although we had privileges there). At the villa was had our own small pool and daily maid service. The beach was nearby, although we didn't swim there, preferring to swim at the large hotel pool. Not easily accessible without a car. We used our car daily to go to the resort and nearby towns, and to buy groceries and eat at restaurants (when we're weren't cooking at the villa). Although the house didn't have cable or satellite TV, it had a selection of DVD's, and we also brought our own. This is a great house to spend a vacation - it is private, reasonably luxurious, intimate and beautiful. The peninsula on which the hotel and villa sit is hilly and lush. Really beautiful, especially compared the the nearby villages, such as Barra de Navidad (where we often ate dinners). Overall, I would rate this home as excellent."

  • Beachfront Condo

"This is a second floor unit overlooking Manzanillo Bay. You can watch the pelican's dive for fish, the ships coming in and out of Port, beautiful sunsets as well as taking long walks on the beach. Being right on the beach, the metal appliances show some stress from the salt air but were fully functional. It is also an older unit. There are a number of good restaurants within a short walking distance and three grocery stores within a mile. We used the bus at 7 pesos each. The exchange was between 14.1 and 14.5 to $1 during our stay. We found it very economical. All in all, my wife and I enjoyed our six weeks in a great location."
