  • The perfect family reunion

"Ixtapa and the Amara were the perfect place with our group of 8, ages 7 to 74. Having the 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and the fabulous deck across the 4 rooms in the front of the condo just added to having a great time. The view was extraordinary. The weather, the pool, the beach, the parasailing, massages, swimming with the Dolphins, wonderful restaurants, all were highlights. Claudia was there whenever we needed her and made sure everything was running smoothly. Mario, our taxi driver also added to a wonderful experience. We loved going into Zihautanejo. These 2 weeks were truly magical. We loved our experience in Mexico. We will be returning"

  • Fantastic!

"What a beautiful place. Everything was clean and in good order. The on-sight restaurant has wonderful food and is very affordably priced. It's about a 15 minute walk to town which we liked for the exercise. The pool was huge and the grounds were well maintained. Our microwave didn't work upon our arrival but the owner Mark was quick to make arrangements for it to be fixed. This is THE nicest place you can stay while in Ixtapa. Mark is a very easy going guy and nice to work with. Stay here you won't regret it:)"

  • Beachfront Property with Gorgeous Views

"My boyfriend and I recently traveled to Ixtapa for some much-needed R&R, and this unit offered everything we could ever possibly dream of! The ceiling-to-floor glass sliding doors provide breathtaking views of the ocean and, when open, create an entire wall of open air in the living room. In addition, the end-to-end balcony gave us an opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and a cocktail at sunset in the evening, while enjoying the romantic vista. If we return to Ixtapa, we would absolutely stay in this unit again, if only for the sliding glass doors and large balcony! Most nights, we slept with the sliding door in our bedroom open and fell asleep to the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the shore. The unit is well-stocked with plenty of towels, sheets and kitchen dinnerware for large groups. Everything seemed relatively new or gently used and was in excellent condition. There is a secure door-code entry system and an in-unit safe for valuables. Although we hardly used the washer and dryer, it was certainly a bonus to have the brand new appliances available. The beach is also very easily accessible from this unit – just take the elevator downstairs and walk through the pool area out to the beach. Its location is very convenient for quick, mid-day trips back to the unit to grab a book or eat lunch before returning to the pool/beach. Amara is an outstanding complex with well-maintained, lush landscaping, two beautiful swimming pools, a Tiki hut bar and beachfront access. It also has a fitness center which we frequented most mornings. The 24-hour gated security offers a level of comfort to those not familiar with the area; we never felt unsafe during our stay at Amara. Ixtapa has myriad local, authentic Mexican restaurants that are all very affordable and offer a variety of cuisine, and they’re all within walking distance to Amara (or, you can take a short taxi ride to Zihuatanejo for additional dining options). Our personal favorite was El Faro, located at the top of a cliff overlooking the beach at Amara with spectacular views while dining outdoors. If you are considering a trip to Ixtapa/Zihautanejo, you will not be disappointed with this vacation rental!"

  • A CALMING OAISIS

"My husband and I had the extreme pleasure of making this lovely condo our home for two months. We never tired of the stunning views out of every single window, sea vistas in the front and gorgeous shaded mountains in the back. Everything one could possibly need for living a cozy and comfortable life was provided and the space was open and airy. My husband took advantage of the beach and pool and used the gym every single day. We ate all our meals, except breakfast , out and enjoyed the many wonderful choices in both Ixtapa and Zihua. We had most lunches at the BVG restaurant and found the menu perfect and the wait staff terrific. It will be very difficult for us to return to reality and face the sub-zero temps waiting for us in New York.!!! We are grateful to the kind owers for this opportunity and found them charming and so easy to work with. Mucho Gracias!!"
