  • Love this condo!

"Our third time to Ixtapa and first time staying in a condo vs. all-inclusive. Loved it! Did a lot of research and this is the best condo complex on this stretch of beach in my opinion. Excellent security and location. Market, restaurants and shops directly across. Wonderful pools and lounge areas. Great service and restaurant had great, inexpensive options for our lunches. Like this side of the building (south side) as you do not get the direct sun which would be very hot. Cannot see the sunset from this side but we go to the beach to watch anyways. Very large condo and two single beds in 2nd bedroom so perfect for our two kids....and they had their own bathroom which was nice. Huge balcony where we enjoyed breakfast together and evening cocktails as we watched the waves come in. Thanks so much!"

  • The perfect family reunion

"Ixtapa and the Amara were the perfect place with our group of 8, ages 7 to 74. Having the 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and the fabulous deck across the 4 rooms in the front of the condo just added to having a great time. The view was extraordinary. The weather, the pool, the beach, the parasailing, massages, swimming with the Dolphins, wonderful restaurants, all were highlights. Claudia was there whenever we needed her and made sure everything was running smoothly. Mario, our taxi driver also added to a wonderful experience. We loved going into Zihautanejo. These 2 weeks were truly magical. We loved our experience in Mexico. We will be returning"

  • Wow! Fantastic unit. You get what you pay for.

"The Amara is by far our favorite place to stay at in Ixtapa. The proximity to the town with its wonderful restaurants and shops can't be beat and the pool and beach area are second to none. That being said, we have stayed in a number of different units in the Amara and have enjoyed all of them, but there is something to be said about the old saying "you get what you pay for". This unit was so perfectly appointed for our family that it stands out well above the others we've stayed in. Conveniences are everywhere. Big flat screen TV's, fast personal Wifi, X-box, Apple TV, NetFlix. Comfy beds, plenty of extra pillows, nice shower heads, awesome deck furniture. The storage locker had beach and pool toys, floats, boogie boards, sand shovels... Everything we needed. You can easily tell that the owners care about their renters comfort and needs. The owner Jason, provided an information package with details from what to expect at the airport, how to avoid getting suckered into a time share sale, getting a taxi, helpful descriptions of activities to do and recommendations of restaurants. Believe me, we've been to Ixtapa 7 times and the info in his package was even helpful to us. The unit is obviously well taken care of. The kitchen was renovated, they have a huge 10 person dining table, all the AC units worked, simple things like extra batteries for the remotes were easily available. It felt like everything was thought of and taken care of. I know there were cheaper units available to rent, but this place was totally worth the extra couple bucks a night. Remember, you get what you pay for."
