"We stayed here for a week over Christmas 2014. The Apartment was exactly as advertised. There is a nice, large deck that has great views. The inside is larger than I expected and has a very open layout. We were able to keep the deck doors open the entire time allowing us to enjoy the sound of the ocean to put us to sleep each night.
All of the facilities worked wonderfully: a fully equipped kitchen, good plumbing, microwave, fridge stove gas stove, etc.
As well as wonderful views, there are shops and restaurants close by and el Centro is a short walk away.
Carmen, the property manager was there to meet us when we arrived by cab from the airpport and gave us all the information we needed. She was very pleasant and helpful."

Casa Del Surfista Review: Fun, Relaxing, and Beautiful!
"Casa Del Surfista in La Saladita was a refreshing experience. We flew into ZIH/Ixtapa airport and rented cars. Our drive to the house was only 45 minutes or so. It was a beautiful drive with gorgeous landscape. If you go in the rainy reason, be ready to have an adventure on back roads in your car but it is totally doable. We arrived at the house and were blown away. It is absolutely beautiful; the pictures are great but it is even better in person. It is all open-air and a very nice size. There is sleeping in the main house upstairs and then in the Casita next door. This is nice if you want to take an afternoon nap. Everything is very updated and in great condition. The furnishings are also very attractive. We hired Patty who lives on site to do the cooking and cleaning. This was the best decision we ever made. It was very affordable and the food was delicous! It was amazing to wake up to a perfectly made, authentic, healthy breakfast. She also made us lunch and dinner everyday. This is an absolute must. It takes the stress out of going to the grocery, cleaning the food, and cooking. The pool was beautiful, ocean spectacular, and surf amazing. We also made some day trips to Troncones, The Ranch, Ixtapa, and Ixtapa Island for snorkeling and fishing. There is so much to do in this area and it is very safe. The locals are also very nice. We did some excursions through Alejandro in Troncones. His business is across from Present Moment Yoga/Spa. He is the best. We had a wonderful time and recommend it for all."

"The pictures and reviews of the unit are accurate. So nice. Being an end unit, I think it probably has better natural ventilation since you can leave the back windows open without losing privacy to the outdoor hallway like the others do. We never needed the AC.
We spent most of our daytime on the beach and would get a cab to go back up the hill. No big expense. It is walkable if you prefer. It's also a very interesting walk into town, about 45 minutes I think. After you crest the hill, you can get down to the beach and walk in that way. Go before 9 to see the fishermen selling their catch from the night before. You can watch while you eat breakfast.
We really enjoyed Zihuatanejo, and Puesta del Sol really makes you feel like you have a home."

"This place was AMAZING! Like the other reviews stated, the pictures really do not do the view justice. This villa is everything you could ask for. My boyfriend and I stayed for 10 days and we couldn't get enough of Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo! We loved the area and the people. It helps A LOT to know Spanish (or somewhat) if you plan on traveling to this area, but you will still be able to manage if you don't know the language. We especially enjoyed taking the bus (which stops right in front of Porto Ixtapa gates) to Isla Ixtapa (Ixtapa Island) where we enjoyed the day at Paraiso Escondido, a local restaurant on the beach. Taking the bus to Zihua was just as easy and if you don't want to deal with the bus, here are a plethora of taxi drivers ready to take you where you want to go! I would recommend not on Dolores' place to any one of my friends, but this area in general. It is a true hidden paradise. Dolores made our stay pleasant and stress free, she was just an email or call away if I ever had any questions!"
