  • Spectacular Mexico getaway

"Our large group just got back from a memory making vacation in this spectacular home. Truly the pictures do not give you the same jaw dropping impression you have when you finally walk in the front gate! That pleasure never changed, with Nery helping us with everything from meals, to activities, and taxis. Her mouth watering breakfast every morning is already missed now that we are back home. We ate out at a few of the local places, and took advantage of Nery's great cooking as well as the seafood truck to make our own meals also. Every room was fantastic, although the the beds are on the firm side. You can pay extra for AC, but we found the fans were enough. The main group area for eating and game playing is the perfect layout for getting together, and the rooms are private for retreating to. The daily service and upkeep is perfect, and non intrusive. The pool was the greatest place to wile away the afternoon, and we used their boogie boards for the ocean. I highly recommend this home! Aside from the accommodations, be sure to do your homework on the area, only pesos are used generally, and you will need them for the local taxis too. There are limited grocery options and will only find shopping in Zihue. But worth it once you are in Paradise at Casa Dos Peces!"

  • Spring Break Family Fun

"We loved Troncones and the local flavor of the town. We were two families with kids aged 6, 11 & 13 & 14 and stayed over Spring break. The town has a great vibe, not overflowing with tourists. The surfing was ok, think the waves were a bit big for our kids.. heard the waves were bigger than usual. We enjoyed fishing with Antonio and all the kids caught something. We had an amazing lunch at Martha’s where she cooked up our SkipJack. We hiked almost daily behind the house and LOVE that view! The guys tried some fishing down at the rocks below the hike after seeing how popular it was with the locals. We had a great breakfast at Cafe Pacifico and super fun night at Robertos for turtle watching, dinner and dancing with the kids! The highlight, of course was Veronica’s delicious meals. She made a great range of classics that allowed our kids to sample authentic Mexican cuisine. Of course, having Jesus with his perfect english was a huge part of our stay. He even helped arrange a fun local birthday for my son with a pinanta and locally made caramel flan. Casa Carolina is such a beautiful home. It is obvious that Carolyn thought of every details when she designed it. We especially loved the open air design, amazing pool and the yoga deck! The kids spent countless hours playing in the SPECTACULAR pool and we just really didn't want to leave. The beautiful sunsets became ritual as we toasted each beautiful day. Thank you Carolyn for sharing your beautiful home, we hope to return soon."

  • Couples retreat

"We recently and reluctantly just returned from our first trip to Troncones and Casa Majahua. We are already getting ready to send our deposit for next year. We did alot of research on VRBO, Trip Advisor and any other site that mentioned Troncones and Casa Majahua. It was better than we expected. The people in Majahua and Troncones are wonderful, friendly and not once did anyone in our group feel unsafe. We read every review and took the advice given. It is true that once you get settled in it is very hard to want to leave. We spent many hours just lounging in and around the pool and talking, enjoying each others company. We did do the kayaking excursion and we all really enjoyed it, Luis was great and very informative, he has a genuine love for the area and the culture. We also rode horses on the beach with Herradura Horseback riding and Octavio and Lucia were fun, happy and very accommodating. They also took us on another excursion to the Agua Caliente which was wonderful. They had another excursion lined up for us but again, we didn't want to leave the house. The staff at the house was flawless, and took the best care of us. Guille, Poli, and Don Tino fed us, cleaned up after us and kept us safe. They also spent some time laughing with and at us. Alejandro was always available to answer questions and make suggestions. We went into Troncones for dinner one night but it didn't compare to the meals that Guille prepared for us. Next time we will have her cook all our meals. We did have dinner at a small beachfront restaurant in Majahua about a 5 minute walk from the house. Martha's restaurant had fresh lobster, shrimp and fish prepared with garlic butter or spicy sauce. Nothing was better. The house is spectacular and very comfortable. We had plenty of space, together and privately. We even had Felida come for consecutive days to give massages to everyone. I can truly say it was one of the best vacations I have ever had, the house is like your own private resort."

  • The Best

"My wife and I just returned for a weeklong stay at Casa Porvenir. We had the best time there. This is our third time staying there, and we are already itching to return. The home itself is so well-kept. The space is gorgeous. And it's right up against the beach. So we could hear the ocean 24/7, which is incredibly relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. All we needed to do was purchase food at the market in Zihuat on the way from the airport to Troncones. The house is well-kept by a woman who cleans the place daily and a gardener who is taking care of the beautiful gardens. We will be back."
