  • Spectacular Mexico getaway

"Our large group just got back from a memory making vacation in this spectacular home. Truly the pictures do not give you the same jaw dropping impression you have when you finally walk in the front gate! That pleasure never changed, with Nery helping us with everything from meals, to activities, and taxis. Her mouth watering breakfast every morning is already missed now that we are back home. We ate out at a few of the local places, and took advantage of Nery's great cooking as well as the seafood truck to make our own meals also. Every room was fantastic, although the the beds are on the firm side. You can pay extra for AC, but we found the fans were enough. The main group area for eating and game playing is the perfect layout for getting together, and the rooms are private for retreating to. The daily service and upkeep is perfect, and non intrusive. The pool was the greatest place to wile away the afternoon, and we used their boogie boards for the ocean. I highly recommend this home! Aside from the accommodations, be sure to do your homework on the area, only pesos are used generally, and you will need them for the local taxis too. There are limited grocery options and will only find shopping in Zihue. But worth it once you are in Paradise at Casa Dos Peces!"

  • Life in paradise

"What an amazing vacation! We had the good fortune to stay at La Mariposa for a month, and it truly was living in paradise. Every day was a lazy relaxing experience with hours spent by the pool, walking on the beach, watching beautiful sunsets, and enjoying life in Troncones. It was like living in a luxurious resort. The magnificent house itself is spacious, well-furnished and maintained, and easy to live in for eight people. The caretakers, Fanny and Oscar, were unbelievable - kind, helpful, unobtrusive, and great cooks (we even took some of their recipes home with us). Their local knowledge was very useful to us, and made our stay all that more enjoyable. We will be back for sure, and we highly recommend La Mariposa to anyone seeking their own private tropical oasis."

  • Beautiful house on the beach

"Casa Helen is very open and comfortable. The master suite on the top floor has its own open seating area with a fantastic view of the ocean and pool below. Carmen is an amazing cook, nothing is too much trouble for her. She made lobster and served it on the outdoor dining table by the pool, under the stars, right on the beach- amazing experience."

  • General Reviews from Former Visitors

"“Casa De Oro is a mystical place to visit. The beauty and grand scale of the casa will take your breath away. Retreat, retreat, retreat!” – Molly D. “Believe me, the photos on the website barely do Casa de Oro justice. Completely enclosed, the casa is a tropical paradise. The compound provided more than enough room for our party of seven to relax, play, swim, cook and dine at our leisure. The ocean is only a few steps away, just beyond a natural lagoon, and the views from the rooftop terrace (there was a daily race to occupy the hammock) are spectacular, the beach in one direction and the jungle in the other. “But here’s the bonus, something we all enjoyed. We weren’t staying in a resort; we were in Mexico. Casa de Oro is on the edge of the village of Troncones. We were able to walk into town in only minutes, either along the road or along the beach, where you can stop (and we did) for lunch or a beer at one of the ocean side café-bars. The village has a small market, a handful of restaurants, a few small hotels, plus a small community of ex-pats. And if you don’t want to walk into town for supplies, you can have fresh produce and fish delivered to the casa. It was the best of two worlds: a self-contained tropical paradise with an interesting and very friendly Mexican village right outside. We felt very safe. And we had a ball.” – Boyce Q. “I spent a week at Casa de Oro and had the time of my life with friends. The view from the deck is gorgeous and the decor of the entire property is first class. A short walk right to the beach made it easy for all of us. The best surprise were the super comfy beds. Checking airfare to make next reservation.” - Jane F. “We ended every day of our vacation on the beach just out our back door, beverage in hand, cameras at the ready, watching one glorious sunset after another. Up to our knees in warm surf, pelicans wheeling above in a burnt orange sky, then diving f"
