  • A great condo rental

"We found this wonderful condo short notice, and it was great. The condo has a spectacular view. The condo is very clean and well maintained. We can't think of anything that could be improved upon. Would definitely recommend this rental, and would certainly return."

  • Great time at La Chula!

"La Chula is a very upscale, 5 star condo. My wife and I had a wonderful time there. The view of La Ropa Beach from our balcony was awesome. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a very comfortable family room area, and the place was very nicely decorated. Would love to go there again someday. Thanks to the owner Jeff, who was very responsive via e-mail and made sure to ask us if everything was to our liking during our stay. There is also ample information at the condo on good restaurants to eat at and fun activities to do. All in all, a great vacation!"

  • One of the Very Best

"We rent vacation homes frequently in the USA and Mexico. Casa Linda is among the best we have experienced. The home is in a gated community, known as Monte Cristo, about a 5 to 10 minute cab ride to almost anywhere in Zihuatanejo, and about 15 minutes from Ixtapa. The resorts and restaurants on La Ropa beach, across Zihuatanejo Bay, may be a slightly longer drive depending on the road construction underway on that side of the Bay. Zihuatanejo is a "must-visit" destination. Great scenery, restaurants, and shopping. Our host, Linda Nutter, is great, as are her staff that take care of you three days per week. The pictures do not do this home justice, but you will just have to see for yourselves. The main living/eating/kitchen area is covered by a huge thatch palapa, facing SW to the Pacific (just beyond the infinity pool) and SE towards Zihuatanejo Bay -- wonderful cross breezes. The main floor has a half bath. The Master is on the main level, and is air conditioned if you wish. It's bathroom is huge. The other two bedrooms are downstairs, each with their own bath, also air conditioned, and with to die for views of the Pacific (as with the master). If you don't wish to use the car that comes with the property, taxis are but a 5 to 7 minute call away. We and one other couple shared Casa Linda for 11 nights, and I easily could have enjoyed a few more weeks. It will very comfortably take three couples. You will love this place and the Zihuatanejo area. Absolutely 5 Star."

  • Wonderful stay, incredible place...

"This was such an amazingly cool place to spend 5 days (too short; longer next time). Beautifully appointed and with all the modern conveniences. The open-air palapa was amazing, offering stunning views onto the bay, which never failed to bring a little gasp each time you saw it, even if it was the 10th time. Lois was such an accommodating host, who happily answered all my questions, and kept in touch throughout the whole process. Really nice plus was Naty, the friendly woman who came each day to make beds, clean the place up, and even met us with freshly-made salsa and guacamole. They’ll even have beer waiting for you in the fridge if you request in advance, or just for their cost. Beach was just a quick hike down, but understand that it’s a pretty steep climb back to the unit from the beach. If you have any mobility issues or get winded really easily, it might not be ideal. My lady and I are in decent shape, and it definitely got our heart rates up, but in our case, the exercise just helped justify our beer or tequila shot upon arrival…;) Location is at the south end of Playa Ropa, putting you at the far end of the bay, but we never felt out of it. Taxis and colectivos into town are easy to grab by the beach at the end of your hike down, and both are cheap. We usually just took colectivos into town (15 pesos for two people) and taxis back (~35-40 pesos). Be sure to pick up some freshly-made ceviche from the oyster guy who sets up on the beach right at the bottom of your climb down from the villa. I got a “small” order of the incredibly fresh and delicious stuff, which filled a standard-size paper plate (we ate off it for 3 days), and cost 50 pesos (less than $4). Villa Zanzibar is really a very special place. Not your typical condo, but so much richer an experience. Can’t wait to get back there next year for a longer stay!"
