  • Enjoyed our stay in this very nice home.

"This is a very nice little house in a nice little town. My second visit to LM and we loved it again. The owner and caretakers were very nice and accommodating. I travelled here with my older parents so just a heads up that the house is up on a hill and also has lots of stairs so it's a bit harder for the older/slower folks. But any reasonably mobile people can manage it no problem. Laundry was not serviceable however it is very cheap to drop off in town. Less than $1.00 per load and they do it all for you. Support local businesses. This is small town Mexico so if you're looking for a "Cancun like" experience this is definitely not it. If you like authentic experiences and a nice place check this one out."

  • Unique Rooftop Experience

"What an amazing experience we had staying in this beautiful studio. As illustrated in the photos, the open design provides magnificent views of both the mountain and ocean -all while lounging in a comfortable king size bed. Very sweet! The owners live on the first floor and were wonderful hosts. After a long day of travel, the cold beer and snacks that were in our fridge upon arrival, totally hit the spot. One of the truly unique features of the studio is the outdoor shower. We will always remember those starlit showers. Another unexpected delight was the bird activity. Every morning a flock of parakeets would zoom by in a flash of iridescent green. The climb to up from the town takes you through a pleasant Mexican neighbourhood. It's a good workout on a warm day but this charming studio makes it all worthwhile. Finally, the hosts are English speaking and their exquisite taste in design and art is reflected throughout the studio and gardens. It all contributes to a truly unique experience."

  • Amazing Views, Luxurious and Spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

"I guess I'll start by saying that we definitely plan on staying at Casa Golondrinas again. As soon as the 9 of us left, we were already talking about how much we wanted to go back to La Manzanilla and that we would definitely choose the same accommodation again. The bedrooms in the main house both have AC, which is nice to have, and, while the rooms in the guest house can get a little warm, they're still very nice and there are plenty of fans to go around. The bathrooms were great as well. A few more beach towels would be nice as there were only three when we went. The kitchen is nicely equipped and there was plenty of space for the 9 of us (+ one toddler) to prepare food and eat at the large outdoor dining table. The hike up the hill might be a little much for people with mobility issues, as it is quite steep, but not very long. It is about 5 minutes to walk down to the beach and then maybe 10 minutes to get back up to the Villa. You'll definitely break a sweat walking up the hill, but once you reach the top, you can relax in the magnificent pool and watch the sunset over the town. When we got there, there was a leak in the pool, but the management company was great about it, sent guys up to fix it, and within a few days we were splashing around. While it would have been nice to have the pool the entire time, things are going to happen, and it was great to see that the management company handled it well. They supply plenty of bottled water and have drinking water in the bathrooms for brushing your teeth, etc, as you can't drink the tap water. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this place and we plan on returning next year."

  • Peaceful Romantic Retreat

"My wife and I, energetic city-type people, never thought we could spend more than a week at the beach without going stir crazy. Wrong! We stayed here in Boca de Iguanas for nearly a month this past winter. Did we get cored? I don't remember. Day by languid day we simply shifted into a mellow gear neither of us thought we had. The condo was drop-dead beautiful, impeccably clean and (speaking as one who loves to cook) better equipped, kitchen and pantry wise, than any rental we've ever visited. Nelly, their maid, not only kept the place in tip-top shape, but was eager to answer any questions or solve any problems we might have had. Although La Manzanilla, a classic Mexican beach town, was a pleasant 45 minute beach walk away, and the resort's gorgeous serpentine, infinity pool only steps away, many days we never even left the condo, watching the iguanas, reading, napping or sipping a Corona. If your stress level has gotten dangerously high, we'd highly recommend this Boca retreat."
